5. Death

Aaron's POV:

I was sitting at my desk. All these years I have missed her like hell.Our fathers are close to each other. And her brother Aiden is my bestfriend. Everyone knew that she had a big crush on me and I loved her soo much. Suddenly I had to go to UK for my studies.I went home for summer breaks, Christmas, Thanksgiving and for New years eve. But I miss her voice. I miss her smile. I miss the way she looks at me. 

I was about to text Mia and I got a call. I see the id flash on my screen. It's my mom. It's been days that I have talked to my family. I press the answer button
"Hey mom. Sorry I was busy with the exams. I couldn't call you." everytime I say that she teases me saying that I would find time to text Mia but I will not have time to call them. But this time she is silent. She doesn't speak anything. "Let me speak to him  Lisa" I hear my mom crying  Aunt Cassy is trying to comfort her. Finally aunt Cassy takes the phone and she speaks  "Aaron you need to come home as fast as you can. Emily's condition is worse. She has been attacked by someone today." she has been telling something on the phone but I can't hear anything. Emily is my sister. She was 5 years older than me . So is Aiden but we both have been bestfriends from childhood. Emily and me are so close. What happened to her? Who exactly tried to kill her? Why would someone kill such a sweet girl. I am not able to get anything. "Aaron are you still listening? The jet is on the runway Damon will accompany you." I finally push back all my thoughts and pack my essentials and leave the house.

Damon meets me at the airport. Me Damon and Aiden have been friends from childhood. Aiden and Emily have been in relationship for 5 years. It was their 5th anniversary today. Aiden called me to inform that he is going to take Emily out on a date. He told me that they will be going to the place where he confessed to her.After boarding the plane I take out my phone to switch it off but I decided to call Aiden first. The call is always been directed to the voicemail. So I just texted him SEE YOU AT THE HOSPITAL.STAY STRONG! 

After the plane lands, my dad's driver Mason waiting for us in the car. He takes Damon's and my bag and puts it in the boot. The drive  to the hospital is quiet. And I am thankful to both Mason and Damon not asking me any  questions or for trying to make me speak. The car stops infront of the hospital and immediately get out of the car. The receptionist guides me to Emily's room. Dad is comforting mom. That only makes her even worse. I go them and caress my mom's back. She gets up and hugs me and starts crying again. Dad gets up from his place. Though he maintains a neutral expression I know that he is battling with the tears brimming in his eyes. "Let him see his sister first" he says and pulls mom away from me. 

Emily looks so pale. She is almost lifeless. Her skin is covered with bruises. She has undergone so much pain. Anger is raging within me. I just calm me down for some time and step forward to reach her hand. She doesn't move. "Em I know you are strong. Nothing will happen to you. I'll kill that bastard who did this to you. By the time you wake up I'll make sure that you are safe." I feel tears dripping down my cheeks. I stay there like that for sometime. before going out I wipe my tears and go out. I go straight to Mia's house. I need to speak to Aiden. I am shocked that neither of them showed at the hospital. I park my car in the driveway and got into the house. The scene before my eyes is terrible. Mia is sitting in the couch and sobbing. I think she has been doing that for a long time. Her crying is making it worse for her breathe. She is choking. I take a water bottle in my reach and go to her. I just put an arm around her shoulder. 

She looks up, all I can see her bloodshot eyes and the pain in her eyes. I just like that for sometime. She needs some time to cry. I don't know the reason why she is crying but I should let her cry.  She just pulls up her thoughts and stops crying. The whole house is surprisingly empty. "How is Emily?" she asks me with a hoarse and shaky voice. I think all this crying shit has done that to her voice. "She is in coma. The doctor said she will be okay but he said he don't know when she will wake up. She has been traumatized. Is this why you are crying? Where are everyone? " I ask her and see tears brimming in her eyes. "It's okay Mia. Em is strong enough she will come out safe. She will smile again. And when she wakes up we can plan their wedding. Okay so where are everyone? " I ask caressing her palm.

"They are in crematory." She says and breaks down.
