I Need You

10. Because I Love Him

When I wake up I am in an unknown place. The last thing I remember is falling down from the chair and then Aaron picks me up. My surroundings are new. This is not Aaron's house. It looks a lot more different. I try to get up from the bed but I have no strength. But I get up and move towards the room down the hallway. I hear someone speaking so loud. I know it is Aaron. He is shouting on someone for not taking care of me. I am so sorry for that person who has to get scolded because of me. I slowly open the door and go in. Aaron's eyes a re filled with rage but his eyes soften when he sees me. When I am about to fall he catches me and helps me to my feet. That is when I notice that the other person in the room is Dylan. He was the last person I am expecting here. He looks at me with his eyes filled with guilt. And then he leaves the room. Why is everyone so eager to leave me alone with Aaron whenever they get the chance. He slowly helps me to the chair and after I sit he sits in the chair on the other side. 

"We postponed your concert. Get some rest. After you recover fully you can practice and then do your performance. And you are going to stay here till you recover." I just nod and look at him. He is avoiding my gaze. I know he is hurt by my behavior that day when he wanted to marry me. I never gave him a proper explanation and will never be able to.  From my childhood I have loved him and I always wanted to marry him. But when he asked me to marry him I was scared that I will ruin his life. And I am scared that something will happen to him if I am with him. I know what exactly he is doing. And with whom he is involved. Though he is the boss he still has risk. No one there will stay the same. One day they fight for you and the next day they fight against you.

"Aaron I am sorry for that day. I couldn't give you a proper explanation. But I am sorry to hurt you" he looks at me but he immediately looks away. "You don't need to this Aaron. Dylan will take care of me. And even dad came back. So I can stay with them. And thanks for saving me that day. I lost hope and thought that I would die that day. I am sorry." he looks at me. But his eyes are not the same bright eyes I see everytime. His ocean blue eyes are so cold and dull. He maintains a neutral expression. "You are not going anywhere till you recover" he says showing his back to me. I get up and go out of the room. I hear a banging sound from inside. I go to my room. Dylan is standing there. A smile forms on his face when he sees me. I hug him and ask him to come into the room.

He doesn't speak anything. He just stays silent. I sit on the bed and sits on the edge of the bed.
"Why are you rejecting him Mia? Why don't you accept him? Why are making him worse? You know how depressed he is. From the day you wen t missing he went crazy. He wouldn't let anyone sleep. He worked day and night so hard to find. He did everything possible to find you. And on the day when he found you he didn't let anyone touch you except for the doctor." his words don't surprise me. I know Aaron would to anything to find me and he will do anything to protect me. "I am not good for him Dylan." he looks at me puzzled. 

ON THE DAY OF ATTACK:

I was sitting in my room reading novels. I am so into reading that I didn't hear my phone buzzing beside me. I quickly take the phone and I sigh in relief that it's Aiden. If it is Aaron or dad they would have been scared to death or will come straight to kill me. I lift the call "Hey kiddo, why aren't you picking up your phone , busy with your boyfriend" even though he is not infront of me I know he is smirking. I just roll my eyes and sigh in disgust "No big bro, I am not a kind of person to neglect my sibling for my partner." I say and he laughs. "Ok tell me what is Em's favorite ice-cream flavor." he asks me. "You don't know what your girlfriend likes. Eww. I thought you were just a bad brother , but you are a disgusting boyfriend." I say with a displeased voice. "Ok we shall have this fight after I come home. So tell me what she likes. She is waiting for me." 
"Okay there is no particular flavor she like, she loves almost all the flavors. But select a flavor that isn't to sweet or that contains mint. And make sure you add choco chips to it. She loves them." I am happy for them. He orders the ice-cream without ending the call. He loves Chocolate Mint flavor. I thought he is going to order it but he doesn't. He orders cookie and cream flavor for him and choco chip dough for Emily. He tells me how his day went. How he proposed her and how she felt. He is so happy. He takes the order and walks to Emily. I hear faint screams in the background. And I hear him running. I hear a gun shot and Aiden shouts in pain. Someone speaks next to him "This is for Emily loving you. I don't think that is a good idea. And I hate to see you with her. And so does your sister. Why are you both after the Summers siblings? If she is in love with him I have to kill him and her also." and there are more gun shots. After I heard someone running. 

PRESENT:

I have never shared this to anyone. This the reason why I have been rejecting Aaron. I am not able to see him like this but I can't stay away from him. I am trying as much as possible. This is the first time I have been telling this to someone. I hope they understand my insecurities. "Dylan don't tell this to Aaron, please" I hope he listens to me. He just pats on my head and gives a nod. Later he speaks for sometime about my upcoming concert and then he takes a leave.
