I Need You

8. No I don't

AARON'S POV:

I stay glued in my position. What Em is telling is too much to process for me. I look at Mia. She is also in the same position. For me it's my friend who died. But for her it is her brother. Who is everything to her. I know how much they supported to each other. How possessive they are about each other and how protective Aiden is towards her. They can't tolerate the pain the of the other. They both have each other's back from their childhood. He always wanted her to sing. But her father never approved it. After Aiden died  he worked towards it. Both her mother and she fought with her dad. They are now staying away from him. She just wants to do what her brother wanted her to do.

She doesn't speak a word. She just leaves the room. I ask Damon  to take her home. After Damon goes away I sit in the place where Mia sat before. Em looks at me worried. "Do you want to see him?" I ask her. She waves her head in denial and says "I can't Aaron. I need sometime. This is all because of me. He doesn't deserve this.  He died trying to save him." She pours out all the tears she has been holding. I soothe her hand comfortingly "If Mia was in your position and if I was in Aiden's position, I would have done the same thing for her. It is how much we both love you Em. And I will go to any length to save you and Mia." I say. She calms down herself and asks about my studies. We speak to each other for some time. The doctor says she needs some rest and that they will discharge her tomorrow. I sit there seeing her drift off to sleep. The next day after completing all the formalities I drive her back to home.

A week has passed and there is no sign of Mia. She has been completely avoiding me. But Em says she's been calling her. I and Em made a plan. We discuss it with my parents and with her mother. They are okay with our plan. I ask Damon  to drive her to the venue. Lately Damon had been a lot of help to me. He goes and visits her everyday. Ask her about her progress and later tell me those details. She is doing great. She has been hired by a leading company and in a few days she is going to sing. She loves to sing and I am happy that she is doing what she always wanted to and what her brother wanted her to do.

The day comes. We have planned everything well. I even sent her a dress to wear for the day. I am so nervous. Emily gives me a assuring smile. She is so confident about the day. "Aiden was like this when he proposed me." she says smiling at me. But it doesn't reach her eyes. We both get downstairs. My mom and dad are also ready. "You look handsome. " says my mom with a playful smirk. My dad looks at me and asks "Are you ready my boy?" I nod nervously. "Don't panic this is a big day for you" he says.

After a 1 hour drive we reach our destination. Everything is decorated as planned. I take my parents to their seats and I go to my position. I am waiting for her. She comes in. She looks like an angel in that dress. I asked Damon to blindfold her. So that she doesn't know where we are. He gets her to me and she stands infront of me. He slowly removes the cloth from her eyes. She looks around, she looks at her friends Olivia, Suzy and Claire and she gives them a big smile. I am soo happy to see her smile. Claire is her manager but they knew each other even before. Olivia and Suzy are Mia's childhood friends. Suzy is now Mia's stylist. Olivia went for a really long vacation, for almost 2 years and she came back today morning. Then she looks at me. We just stare at each other not bothering our surroundings. I get lost in her emerald eyes.

"Do you Aaron Summers  take Mia Blaine  as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" his voice brings me back to reality.
"Yes I do." I have been dancing internally. I am so happy that this is finally happening. Everyone in the room are happy. But Mia is shocked. She is trying to calm her down.  
"Do you Mia Blaine take Aaron Summers as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" everyone are looking at Mia. They are waiting for her answer. So am I. The one word she says matters a lot to me and to our future. The future where I will be right beside her. Where I support her and where she supports me. She is the only person I have loved and I will love.

"No I don't" she says. Everyone gasp in shock. I can't stand anymore , my knees are becoming weak. I try to reach her but, she steps back. She turns around and runs out of the room. I have no strength to go after her. Everyone stays there looking at me. No one has any idea and not even a single person knows the reason why she did it. It is very obvious that she loved me. She loved me from her childhood. I loved her so much. I always told that I wanted to marry her. To that she just used to smile. I thought that smile was a yes and I thought she wanted to have a future with me. But I never knew that she never acknowledged me. I kneel down on to the floor. I don't care about what others think about me now. I'm crying like hell. Damon and Em are trying to calm me down. NO I DON'T are the only words running in my head. 

I love her and will love her till the end. I will tell her that I love her till she accepts it. She is my future. She is mine.
