48: Late night talks

The two of them sat on the curb and sighed in a good way as the cold breeze hits their face.

"How are you feeling Mina?" Chaeyoung asked with eyes close.

"I feel alive. I think... I think I can go back to performing in TwiceLights" Mina said with a big smile.

"That's great! I'm so so sooo proud of you Waddles!" Chaeyoung said and Mina chuckled.

"Thank you Chaeng... Without you, I'd probably be in my pajamas, watching movies alone and over thinking" Mina said and sighed.

"Please. I've done nothing, it was all you" Chaeyoung countered.

"Truthfully. I don't think I'll be where I am now if you weren't by my side at all times" Mina faced Chaeyoung.

"You're kind and very humble. You always do your best for other people. You make them feel welcome and special all the time. You make people happy with your silly ways and corny jokes. Just by your presence, it's enough to brighten up the day of people. And that people is me Chaeng. I truly admire you for that, that's why I love you" Mina accidentally confesses and blushed madly.

A moment of silence but Chaeyoung composed herself.

"Thank you for that sweet message Mina. I also love you too" Chaeyoung said.

"For a second there... Thought that she's confessing to me" Chaeyoung chuckled a little and sighed in disappointment.

"Chaeng... I hope my feelings would get to you" Mina laughed a little and nervously.

"So... What're your plans Chaeng for the future?" Mina asked to break off the awkward tension rising from them.

"Honestly, I only have told no one else but Jun Unnie and she smacked me in the back of the head" Chaeyoung laughed.

"I think... I'll be taking a year or two off in the music industry"

Mina's eyes widened. Chaeyoung chuckled at Mina's reaction

"Why??? Nooo you can't~~~ my idol~" Mina pleaded with her eyes.

"It's still a thought. I mean I have thought about it but... Maybe after seeing you with those puppy eyes... I'll probably erase that thought off" Chaeyoung said and smiled tenderly to Mina.

Mina blushed again and giggled to ease herself.

"Then maybe I should always do my puppy eyes because then, you're wrapped around my finger" Mina said and smiled innocently.

"Well well well~ I wouldn't mind at all Ms. Myoui. As you can see, I can't do nothing about it" Chaeyoung chuckled.

"Hmmm is that your way of saying you're whip for me?" Mina asked with a cheeky grin.

"Maybe... I am but maybe I'm not... We do not know the answer to that" Chaeyoung got into her 70s voice and Mina giggled.

"Well, I beg to differ Ms. Son. It occurs to me that you are whip and is inexplicably, indeed, whipped at all times" Mina joined at the fun.

"Then I'll take it that you have your answer. Ms. Son is whipped for Myoui Mina"

They both laughed at their playfulness and Chaeyoung laid on the pavement.

"Yah! That's dirty" Mina said but Chaeyoung just laughed.

"Sometimes you got to sacrifice something to give more to someone... That's a good quote right?" Chaeyoung chuckled.

"Look at those... They're twinkling. They're shining. They're sparkling. They're the diamonds of the sky..." Chaeyoung muttered while looking at the black sky with millions of millions of stars.
