28: Flying Rumours

The girls arrived at the JYPE building and went straight to the meeting room where JYP is waiting silently.

"Good afternoon Pd-nim" Jihyo was the first one to greet and the others followed.

They bowed their heads and sat around the table.

"Straight to the case, Dispatch released photos of you and Chaeyoung-ssi" JYP said and slide the phone to Mina.

Mina picked it up and saw her and Chaeyoung on the cafe smiling at each other. It captioned "Twice member Moyui Mina and Cub aka Son Chaeyoung found dating in a private cafe"

Mina's eyes widen and shook he read and looked at JYP.

"Is it true?" JYP asked.

"It's a friendly date. I don't think it's wrong to have one moreover she's a girl like me" Mina said and the girls nodded.

JYP sighed and gestured Mina to swipe left.

Mina did and she's shooketh than ever.

"DispatchKorea: Son Chaeyoung, a lesbian? A testimony of an unknown twitter user and knetz are sus of Chaeyoung"

"This is senseless. If they're making this up for fame then they're out of their mind" Mina said angry to whoever this twitter user is.

"I don't think it's senseless Mina. People have been suspecting Chaeyoung that she might be a lesbian. For now, don't contact or interact with her until the issue has cooled down" JYP said but Mina didn't want that.

"Pd-nim, they don't know Chaeyoung. They're accusing her of something that's not even true" Mina reasoned.

"Mina, I know you're close with Chaeyoung and I know you're feeling hurt that your friend is getting accused. But Mina, we don't know if she's just faking" JYP said that made Mina more angry.

"Let's say that accusation is true. What's wrong with it? Doesn't mean Chaeyoung is a completely different person" Mina stated a fact.

"Homosexuality is frowned upon here in Korea. And if its true then Chaeyoung might step down and quit. Correct, she's not a completely different person but people will see her as one. And I advice that you don't meet up with her for now or visit her in the hospital so you won't get caught up. Well too late for that but in a week, you'll be out of the rumours" JYP said and Mina is going super saiyan.

Mina was supposed to speak again but Dahyun held Mina's shoulder and shook her head.

"I'm watching you Mina and the rest, I advice you also do the same. You may go now and to your apartment" JYP said and Twice stood up and bowed.

Mina is sooo trying hard not to scoff and roll her eyes at him but she has respect and mannerisms.

Twice went back to their dorms without saying a word. They went to the living room and Mina excused herself.

"I'll just go take a bath" Mina said and went to her room.

Dahyun looked at Mina going inside the room and sighed.

She also excused herself saying she'll change her clothes and went to her room.

She fished out he rphone and dialed the Hospital's land-line.

"Hello, XX hospital. How can I help you?" a girl said.

"Hi can I talk to Son Chaeyoung?" Dahyun asked almost in a whisper.

"Uhm we are not to let strangers talk to Miss Son as ordered by her family and as a regulation here in the hospital"

"This is Kim Dahyun. I'm her friend and this is a bit of an emergency and news for her. So if you are kind enough, please transfer the call to her ward's line" Dahyun said and the girl squealed inside as she needs to maintain her professionalism.
