Hey there, hi there.....ho there.

-That One Summer-CH.5-

~Malllory~

"Thomas, please tell me." I begged, tugging on his arm sleeve. He shook his head. I sighed. He won't tell me what WIll did, and who he did it to.

"Why not Thomas?" I whispered. I heard a sigh excape his lips.

"Do you really want to know?" He asked finally looking at me. I nodded my head earerly.

Just then, there was some banging on the door. Ugh. What now?

I stood up and went over to the door, looking through the peek hole.

Will.

What the hell did he want? I did't bother to even open the door.  I just made sure it was still locked. It was so I went upstairs to get a sweater. Then went back to the living room where we were sitting.

"Who was at the door?"

I shrugged.

"Oh, it must have been a prank. Anyways, what were you saying about Will? I promise I won't judge you or anything." I said plopping down on the couch.

"Okay, are you ready?" He asked me quitly. I nodded my head. And so he started his story, and I almost cried.

~Thomas~

I couldn't say no to her. So I told her the whole story, starting at the beginning. From when my sister started dating Will, to when Will killed her.

A couple of times I saw Mallory tear up, but she never cried. When I was finished with my story, Mallory sniffed.

"Sarah sounds like she was an awesome person." She dabbed her eyes with the sleeve of her sweater. I did a double take.

"Hey, isn't that my sweater?" I asked pointing. She looked down at what she was wearing.

"Yeah, after I went to answer the door, I got..Oh this isn't the point! How many years ago did she...?"

"Almost a year. They didn't think it was on purpose, so he wasn't even arrested." I said drooping my shoulders. Then, I felt Mallorys thin arms wrap around my waist. I looked down at her. She had her face buried in my shirt.

"I'm sorry Thomas. I promise I'll stay away from him." She muffled. I couldn't help but to smile.

I kissed her hair, taking in her scent. Her hair smelled like oranges. I like that, it's different from all those other girls who smell like strawberries.

"Thomas, wanna go see a movie with me?" She asked looking up at me, arms still wrapped around me. I smiled.

"That'd be cool. What movie are we going to see?" I asked getting off the couch.

"Um, a scarey one! Please?" She begged hopping around the living room. I laughed at her and nodded my head.

"Sure, why not. Just promise not to be scared." I said sarcastically. Truthfully, I hoped that she'd be scared.

Wow, I haven't felt this way about a girl since..since Jackie, but that's a different story.

"Thomas? You coming?" She asked. She was standing at the door in her blue skinny jeans, my sweatshirt, and a pair of yellow converse.
