Hey there :)

Another chapter! It's so much easier to write during the summer! Especially cause it's been so rainy and chilly here in Alaska. It actually really sucks. Buut, I've had more time to write and brainstorm, so that's okay.

Read it! Enjoy it!  Comment! Vote! <3 !

P.S-- There's some quoting from Romeo and Juliet...soo I didn'tt make it up and it doesn't 'belong' to me.

Chapter 11

~Mallory~

The next day, Kelly still wasn’t back. I can’t believe she stormed out because I made better food than her. But still, I feel like I’m stronger than her now, so that’s good.

“Hey Mallory?”

“Yeah?” I rolled over. I was still in Thomas’ bed. He had gotten up hours ago. It’s now one in the afternoon and I haven’t taken a shower or eaten anything.

“Wanna go somewhere today?”

“Like where?”

“I was thinking that we could go to the light house my dad owns.”

“Your dad owns a light house?”  All Thomas did was nod his head.

“And you guys own this beach house? What’t the point of having a light house?”

“Well we didn’t live in a beach house before, so we had a light house that we used a lot. Now we barley go there, and I was just wondering if you wanted to go. It’s okay if you don’t.”

“Oh no, I wanna go! Let me take a shower real fast.” I shot up out of bed and grabbed a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and sprinted to the bathroom.

After cleaning my hair, I hopped out and got dressed. I looked in the mirror.

What does Thomas see in me?

I shook my head and brushed my hair then put on some mascara.

Done.

When I walked out of the bathroom, Thomas was sitting on his bed, reading a book. I smiled at him. He looks so cute when he’s concentrating.

He looked up and smiled at me. I jumped on the bed and snatched the book out of his hands.

“Hey!” He called out and tried to grab it back.

“What’cha reading?” I giggled at him. I looked over the cover.

“Really?” I laughed.

“Shut up. It’s a classic.” He muttered. His cheeks were tinted pink.

“Aww. Tommy is blushing!” I gushed and pinched his cheeks.

“Stop it!” He pushed my hand away.

“But really? Romeo and Juliet?”

“What’s wrong with it? I happen to like that book.”

"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name. Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love; And I'll no longer be a Capulet." I said over dramatically, putting a hand over my forehead.

“What? How do you know that?”

“Uh, if you didn’t know…I’m a nerd.”

“If ya say so.” He said and took the book out of my hands and opened it.

“What are you doing?” I tried to look at what page he was reading, but he shut it quickly.

“Nope. Don’t you need to pack a bag?”

“Gosh, you’re no fun! How long are we going to stay there?”

“I was thinking at least a week.”

“A week?! We’re just going to leave Kelly here?”

“What? I thought that you’d be happy about this.”

“But that’s super rude. Leaving a guest.”

“She left us!”

I shook my head at him. He just looked at me with wide eyes.

I went into his closet and grabbed a bag and packed a weeks worth of clothes.

“We should at least leave directions for her.”

“Are you serious Mal?”

“Yes, Tom.”

“Whatever. Hurry up and pack.” He left the closet and went downstairs.

I think I got that boy whipped.

*****

I hummed along to the familiar song on the radio. Right now, Thomas and I were sitting in the convertible car, driving fast in the middle of no where.

“It’s such a pretty day.” I sighed and looked up to the blue sky.

“Not a cloud in sight.” Thomas said looking up to the sky too.

“Eyes on the road mister!”

“I’m tired of driving. You drive.”

“I don’t know where we’re going though.”

“Stop whining. Just sit and sing your little music.”

“I will.”

He stuck his tongue out at me.

“Mature.”

He did it again which made me laugh.

We kept driving and driving. I sat and watched my hair dance in the breeze around my face. I yawned.

“Sleep if you want.”

“But I want to see where we’re going.”

“Sh. Sleep.”

And I did.

******

Someone was shaking me, and I was not appreciating it

“Stoooop.”

“We’re here.”

That woke me up. I shot up and looked around. It was beautiful. The light house was white, and fairly big. It was up a little hill, and then right next to it was the crystal blue ocean.

“Wow.” I whispered.

“Great, ain’t it?”

“Ain’t ain't a word.” I said still looking out at the water.

“Let’s go unpack!” He said and started up the hill. I smiled and followed him up.

Inside was as good as the outside. There was a spiral staircase, and three rooms, a living room, kitchen and one and a half bathrooms. It was perfect. Straight out of a fairy tale.

“Want to cook our hot dogs on an open fire? It’s dark enough.” He asked me when I settled down in my room.

“Only if we can make s’mores.”

“Deal.”

We went outside. And Thomas was right, it was pretty dark. I watched as Thomas started the fire. He handed me a stick with a hot dog stuck onto it. I smiled at me and then put it over the fire. After we were done eating the hot dogs, we were roasting marsh mellows. I was staring into the fire, and when I looked up, Thomas was staring at me with a smile on his face.

I smiled. “What?”

"Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I never saw true beauty till this night." He quoted. I blushed.

“Are we back to Romeo and Juliet?” I smiled at him.

“Yes. But that’s what I say to you for real to...” He mumbled.

“Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I never saw true handsomeness till this night.” I said at him and scooted myself closer to Thomas.

“Well shucks.” He whispered. Our faces were close, and then, like every love scene, we kissed.
