Mallory POV

“Mallory! You’re going to have to leave that room eventually!” Kasey yelled.

“Right now, I just want to sleep. Do you have any chocolate or ice cream? Or possibly both?”

“What would you do if I did? Would you open the door?”

“Yes.” I say from under my covers.

“Then I do!”

“Come back when you really do.” I mumble. I hear her sigh then footsteps going down the stairs. I roll over in my bed. My hair is flying in all sorts of directions.

It’s been a week.  A whole freaking week since I found Thomas and-and that stupid bitch!

I haven’t gone to school all week. Haven’t left the house. My room. Or my bed for that matter. Only when I needed comfort food or to use the bathroom. I haven’t taken a shower all week.

I’m a mess.

My phone buzzed on my nightstand. I stared at it before I  reached out and got it.

I looked it.

Fifty new texts from Thomas. Plus the one I just got from him. I groaned and threw it to the floor.

There was a knock on my door. I grunted.

“I brought cookies, milk, ice cream, and chips!” I heard Kasey sing on the other side of the door.

“OH! Come in!” I squeal.

“The door is locked…”

I groaned and then rolled out of bed. Before I got to the door, I caught a look at myself in my mirror.

I’m just a hot mess. And I’m pretty sure I reek.

I unlocked the door and swung it open. I saw Kasey standing with her arms full of junk food and snacks.

“I brought the movie Tangled up too.” She slightly smiled at me.

“Yay! Come on  in!”

Kasey dumped all the food on my bed, and I eagerly grabbed the box of oreos and started stuffing my face.

“God, I love chocolate.”

“Me too.” Kasey nodded, not really sounding like she meant it, “Now dear, I know what you’re going through is very difficult, but you’re going to have to go to school soon. It’s been a week.”

“I don’t wanna.” I said with my mouth full. Kasey gave me a stern look and I sighed.

“Fine. I’ll go tomorrow. It’s Friday tomorrow and a half day.”

“It is?”

“Yep!”

“Well, as long as you don’t fall behind on school work. So tomorrow?”

“School tomorrow.”  I nod.

“Okay. Well, enjoy your movie. I’m going to go grocery shopping.” She patted my knee and got up and left the room. She left the door open, but I didn’t care.

I put the movie in and ate all the food that Kasey left for me.

My alarm went off at five forty in the morning. I slapped it. God, it’s so early.

I slowly walked to my bathroom. I took a long shower. When I was done, I didn’t realize how disgusting I was before.

I got dressed in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I went back to the bathroom to quickly do my make up and hair. When I was done, I went and grabbed my bag and pulled on my black vans. I stomped down the stairs into the kitchen, dropping my bag in a chair.

“Good morning Mallory.” Kasey smiled at me and set a plate of pancakes in front of me. I ate them quickly and grabbed my keys.

“Have a good day! And actually go to school!” She yelled after me. I just waved her off and jumped in my car.

I took the long way to school, hoping that I would be late to school.

When I got there, I parked the farthest away from the front and took my time getting up to the door.

“Mallory!” I look over my shoulder and see Joey running over to me.

“Joey!” I smile as he elopes me in a hug.

“Where have you been? Sick?”

“Er, sure. “

We walk to first period together. I walk in and totally forget that I have classes with Thomas.

“Shit.” I whisper.

“What?” Joey whispers back. He looks at what I’m looking at, which is Thomas, and sighs.

“Did you guys break up or something?”

“How do you always read my mind?”

“I’m just that physic!” I laugh and elbow him.

“I love you.” I say.

“Aw Mal, I love you too!” He smiles.

“Wow, so do you just through it around like that all the time?” Thomas asks. I gasp and take a few steps back.

“Shut up, Gray.” Joey steps in front of me.

“Who the hell are you?” Thomas asks. “Please don’t tell me you’re not another Asher Taylor.”

“I’m Joey Fast. Her best friend.”

“We-“

“Tommy!” I heard a shriek and knew right away that it was Kelly.

“Uh…Kelly.” Thomas said.

“I missed you.”

“Please don’t tell me she’s another one of your girls.” I spit out. Thomas’ eyes hold hurt. At first I feel bad, but then I shake my head and go to my seat.

I put my head down on my desk, and wish to go back to summer time, when everything was so perfect.
