Y/N POV

You gulped, walking into Taehyung's room.

~What could he possibly want?~

You had visited him many times but all of them when he was asleep. You never had the courage to visit him while he was awake.

The door is wide open and so you poke your head through the doorframe. Taehyung is sitting up on his bed.

"Hey Y/N! Come in!" He gestures you forward. You go and sit down in the chair that is positioned next to his bed.

"You wanted to talk to me?" You ask him.

"Yea, I just wanted to make sure that you're okay. I can't believe that you kicked Jimin in the face! That was very brave of you, I'm impressed," Taehyung tells you. "You totally saved me." You blush. "I've been waiting for you to come and visit me," Taehyung admits. You raise your eyebrows and look at him.

"You were?" You ask. You're shocked. He nods. "I did visit you," you tell him.

"Really?" He asks, scratching his head. "I don't remember."

"You were always asleep though," you add sheepishly.

"That doesn't count," he giggles. "It's okay, you're here now." You smile at him. "I have to ask you an important question."

"Okay shoot," you say. Taehyung takes a deep breath.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Your breath catches in your throat. "I've always noticed you, first as Jungkook's sister but recently I've had a hard time shaking you out of my head. You've always been there for Jungkook. Also, you've been so nice to Talia since she came here. You're such a good person and you're really cute. I've really wanted to ask you but I've never had the courage and..." he trails off, realizing that he's ranting. You are grinning ear to ear.

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend! I've liked you since Freshman year," you tell him. He smiles at you, taking your hand in his.

~Jungkook and Tae are discharged from the hospital a few days later~

You walk into school for the first time in a while. You look for Hyejin but you can't find her anywhere. You shrug it off and walk to the courtyard. You notice that a girl dressed in all black is sitting where you and Hyejin usually sit.

You walk up to her. "Hey, uh, this is my usual spot. Could you maybe sit somewhere else?" You try to sound as polite as possible.

The girl looks up. She's wearing heavy dark makeup. Her lips and eyelids are colored black.

"This is my regular spot too. What, you don't recognize me?" She sneers.

You squint at her face. "Hyejin?" She nods. "What happened to you?" You ask laughing.

"I'll tell you what happened. I got kicked off the cheer team because of your pretty new friend Talia," Hyejin spits. "You didn't even help me. You were probably off with Talia." She rolls her eyes. "You had been ignoring me and obviously, you like Talia better than you've ever liked me. Even though I know you better than dumb Talia. Pfft, thought you and Jungkook were dating. It was too late to rekindle our friendship. I overheard you and Jungkook talking and figured out that you were going to that restaurant. I saw Jimin that day and he was still bent on revenge. I wanted revenge too. Yeri heard us talking and she wanted revenge too. So we followed you guys there. When you guys went into the ice cream parlor, Jimin couldn't hold back anymore. He went and took action. You confirmed that you don't care about me when you walked right past me. You didn't recognize me or give me a second thought." You remember that there were girls with Jimin in the ice cream parlor that night. You open your mouth to talk but Hyejin holds up her hand coldly. "I'm not finished yet. Jimin took care of your brother easily." Hyejin smirks. "Your little crush was harder but Jimin would've finished him off too if you didn't get involved. I wanted to get involved too but then you kicked my boyfriend in the face." You open your mouth in shock.

"Boyfriend?" You ask. "You're dating Jimin?" She nods.

"We had a hot makeout session after I told him that I wanted revenge too. Then he asked me out and I said yes. We would've been happy together too if it wasn't for perfect little Talia who called the police. Now, I don't know when I can see him." You stare at her in shock after everything that she has told you. You try to reason with her.

"Hyejin, you're better than this. C'mon, Jimin doesn't deserve you."

Hyejin hisses at your statement.
"How dare you, we are perfect for each other. You are the only obstacle in our relationship." She raises her hand to slap you. You cover your face, bracing for a hit.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," a voice says. You uncover your face and look up to see Tae holding Hyejin's wrist. She tries to pull away but Tae is too strong. She hisses. Tae stares into her eyes for a few seconds before throwing down her wrist. He goes to stand beside you. Talia and Jungkook also walk over to stand by you.

"Oh goody, the whole squad is here." Hyejin rolls her eyes sarcastically.

"Are they being mean to you, Hyejin?" Yeri appears next to Hyejin. Hyejin nods. "Allow me to assist you since they got rid of your boyfriend." They both sneer at you.

"Hyejin, I can't believe that you would side with Jimin and Yeri. After all that we've been through?" Tears threaten to pour down your cheeks. "C'mon we've been best friends for almost our whole lives." Tae holds your waist against his body.

"Well, we're not anymore. You've got Talia now," Hyejin replies. Theres no sorrow in her voice. "You are the one who made this happen y/n. If anything, it's your fault. So don't blame me or Jimin or Yeri."

"Hyejin, please," you plead her.

"Yeri, I'm done with them, let's go," Hyejin pulls Yeri away. Yeri smirks at you and leave with Hyejin.

Jungkook starts to lunge at their backs but you and Talia pull him back.

"Koo, you just got out of the hospital. Don't get into another fight, especially for me," You tell him. "I can't believe that Hyejin would do that. Yeri maybe, but Hyejin's always been there for me." You break down crying. You can't believe that your best friend betrayed you. Tae pulls you into a hug.

"She's right about one thing though y/n. You've got us now," Talia says, rubbing your back.

Tae wipes your tears off your face. "It'll all be okay y/n. Talia's right. We are here for you."

"Technically, I've always been here for you," Jungkook interrupts. You laugh. "Don't worry, sis, I'll make sure that they never bother you again," Jungkook says forcefully. You smile ruefully at him.

"Thanks Koo, I love you so much, I don't know what I do without you."
