I woke up the next day that it was already my birthday. To be honest, this was the most anticipated birthday of mine. Daddy was the first to greet me then followed by Max.

"Good morning, hija. Happy birthday,"

"Thank you, Daddy," I smiled and gazed on my phone. I saw Max's long message for me. I read it and it was super heartwarming.

This guy has never failed to make me feel it.

I contacted his number, after two rings, he picked it up. "Happy birthday, my love,"

"Thank you... so much. I wish you were here," I told him bluntly. The whole time, I was only smiling.

He chuckled. "May party ka ba mamaya?"

I sighed. "Kinda. Pero, just a small gathering lang naman. Just me, Daddy, and some of my... friends,"

"Sendan mo ako ng picture mo mamaya?"

I smiled. "Sure thing. I will wear my best outfit,"

Kahit hindi ko siya nakikita, alam kong tumatango-tango ito. Nangangalahati na kami sa taon. I wish nothing, but only Max and I's happiness.

And of course, our relationship as well.

Binaba ko na ang call pagkatapos naming mag-usap. I replied to everyone who greeted me. Kahit marami akong haters na nag-greet sa'kin at ang paplastik nila sa mga greetings nila, pineke ko na rin ang pag thank you.

My phone rang and it was Elisa. Boses niya pa lang sa umaga, sobrang energetic na. I almost dropped my phone dahil muntik na akong mabigi!

"Happy birthday to my super ever arteng bff for sobrang matagal na! I'm so thankful na napagtyatyagaan natin ang isa't isa, though we have different preferences sa clothes, basta, happy birthday mwaps mwaps!"

"Hindi ka naman siguro rapper, Elisa?" I rolled my eyes. She laughed.

"I was just feeling energetic and of course it is your special day! You know, Xynnah, birthday mo na nga, so dapat happy din!"

I prepared my outfit for tonight's party and I just decided to go in an all- black-kinda sexy outfit. I thought that this will make me look good.

"We're just almost the same age, Elisa, but you still talk like a kid," I sarcastically said.

She mocked me. "You are already 20, Xynnah, but you still make maldita like a kid,"

"Ayaw mo 'yon, sa'yo lang ako maldita?" I laughed.

"Ew, Xynnah, stop with your favoritism, please. Not gonna buy it,"

She also showed me her outfit for my party. Parehas kaming all black ngayon. Ito lang siguro ang araw na nagkakasundo kami ni Elisa sa kulay ng damit.

I fixed my hair and makeup. My goal tonight was to look regal and more classy. I highlighted my cheekbones, and put shimmers on my shoulders. If Max was only here, aasarin niya siguro akong puwede niya akong isangla.

That silly guy.

Daddy was the one who chose the venue. Sabi ko, ayaw ko ng masiyadong malaki. So, he really picked the most comfortable one for me.

I went out of my room and saw my Dad, wearing casual clothes as well. May parte ng face ko na kay Daddy talagang carbon-copy na carbon-copy. But, most of it... came from my Mom.

"You look good, anak,"

I slightly smiled. "Of course, Daddy. Kailan ba hindi?"

Hanggang sa pagsakay namin sa car, Daddy was all hyped too like Elisa. He was singing rock songs habang papunta kami sa venue. I should've brought my pillows with me, so I could just cover my ears kapag nararamdaman kong dudugo 'yon.
