10 Years Ago...

It had been a normal day on Nebis Isle nothing had seemed out of the ordinary as everyone was carrying on with their normal activities. One seven-year-old girl stood out though as she followed behind her Father, the backs of her hands held light blue arrows that wrapped up her arms, she also had the same markings on her feet and back.

Although she didn't share the same arrow marking that curved down her Father's head, hers stopped at the base of the neck. This girl was (Y/n) and while she was young, she had just learned to use her forth bender ability, earth. Nebis Isle's citizens that could use one of four bender abilities but there were only a few that could use all four, those would could were referred to as Avatar's

"Good morning Master (YD/n) and good morning to you as well Little (Y/n)" Being the shy girl she was she hid behind her Father and slightly waved her hand at the lady who have greeted them. "Ah good morning Anna, how are your little ones doing?" As the adults talked to each other (Y/n) decided to wander away to look out at the sea.

"What's that?" (Y/n) looked out at the sea to see ships, a lot of them and they appeared to just be sitting there like they were waiting for something. No ships came to their island so this confused the girl so she did want any child her age would do; she went to ask her Father. "Father! Father!"

 "What (Y/n)? You know its rude to interrupt people when their talking" 

"But Father there's a bunch of ships around our island.

"Anna, take (Y/n) and tell the others" 

"Yes Master (YD/n) right away. Come along (Y/n)" She watched her Father go in the direction she had seen the ships but she had been worried since the tone of voice he used was the one he only used when scolding her. "Coming" Anna grabbed (Y/n)'s hand before going towards the Temple, though as they went (Y/n) heard Anna telling the other adults 'Seagull' and each time she said that to one of them their eyes slightly widened before they left in the direction Anna and (Y/n) just came from.

"Why are we going to the Temple Ms. Anna?" Anna didn't answer the little girl since she was too busy with warning the others. This worried (Y/n) a lot since she didn't understand why a bunch of ships had anyone so worried and afraid. "Stay here (Y/n) I'll be back" The older woman was a fire bender and (Y/n) seen her hands start to spark though before she knew it, she was gone, but she said she'd be back so (Y/n) didn't worry too much.

After what seemed like forever to the child, she started to hear some loud noises from outside of the Temple, the curiosity got the best of her as she thought she'd take a peck outside. Although the sweet girl wished she didn't as when she opened the Temple doors to look, she was greeted to something she couldn't unsee. There were buildings turned to rubble as objects were flying into them ending with the objects exploding on impact, cannonballs.

The girl wanted to run back into the Temple and hide but that wouldn't erase what she just saw. "Father. He went to the shore" Without thinking the girl began running to where she knew her Father went using her abilities to dodge and fly over the destruction that got in her way. She reached the shore and seen her Father's body lying there, he was dead.

Present...

"AHHHHHHHHHHH" The now 17-year-old girl woke up from her nightmare with a scream, she took a few minutes to calm herself down before looking around she was almost to her destination when she anchored her boat to a rock so she wouldn't end up flouting in the opposite direction of where she was going. The sea in the New World was unkind to those who didn't know what they were doing. Thankfully (Y/n) has been sailing these seas for years so she's well equipped to handle them.
