One month later

Jin moved around in his kitchen, gathering ingredients needed to make his breakfast, when his phone started ringing. A smile graced his face when he saw that Taehyung was calling him on FaceTime.

He neglects the phone ringing and hurries to the living room to grab his MacBook; returning to the kitchen, he flips it open and sets it on the counter. As soon as it comes on, he goes directly to the FactTime app and calls Taehyung.

"Good morning!" Taehyung voice chirps happily upon seeing Jin with a smile.

"Good night to you, sorry about not picking up before."

"Don't worry about it; I thought maybe you were still asleep. How's your morning?" Taehyung was sitting on his sofa looking into his phone screen at Jin. He had a busy day and was looking forth to the highlight of his day, talking to Jin. Once he got home, he showered and settled into his sofa to relax and gave Jin a call.

Although, after reconnecting with Jin, it has mostly been virtually, he felt a lot happier when going home. He went home earlier than he used to. Before reconnecting with Jin, he did many late nights in the office, but now it was rare he stayed past seven.

Sometimes he would go home and take a nap, timing Jin when he would wake up to call him. Except for the days' Jin had work, but as Jin was starting his parental leave, he got to talk with him more often.

"My morning is well, I woke up hungry, and I'm in the kitchen making breakfast. How was work? Did you enjoy the bagels?" Jin began mixing his waffle batter while looking into the camera at Taehyung.

Taehyung got off his sofa and walks into his kitchen, letting Jin know to give him a minute as he searches through his pantry for pancake batter. Finding it, he smiled and brought it to the kitchen counter.

"Happy you are doing well this morning, assuming the little one is nice to you today. Work was work; nothing out of the usual happened, which is good. I loved the bagels, and I have been here for so long, and because of you, I've discovered flavored cream cheese. How do you know these things? By the way, what are you making? I'm trying to do the same thing if I have all the ingredients, that is. Food shopping doesn't often happen in this place."

Jin stopped what he's doing and looked into the camera with the biggest smile on his face, "you want to cook with me?"

"I do, virtually, but yes."

Taehyung watched amused as Jin did a little dance and then stared at him, "Hmm, I like this. Okay, I will have scrambled eggs with mozzarella cheese, waffles, decaffeinated tea, and a fruit bowl as for what I'm making. You don't have to make exactly what I am making, but you are more than welcome to cook with me, virtually that is."

"Sounds like a plan. I found some pancake batter, so I'll make that, and I believe I have eggs and bacon; I'll do those too. Not sure what cheese I have, but I will use whatever I can find. Is it okay if I have coffee instead of tea?"

Jin burst out laughing at Taehyung's question, "yes, have whatever you'd like. I'm surprised you are open to having breakfast for dinner."

"If I must confess, this will not be the first time I've had breakfast for dinner. And don't judge me. It's just a lot easier to cook than most things." Taehyung began maneuvering around his kitchen to gather all the ingredients needed to begin cooking.

"How good are you with cooking?" Jin inquired, curious to know.

Taehyung frowns and looks into the phone camera, "let's say I know how to survive. Cooking is not something I'm good at, but I can do it not to starve. You seem a lot better at it than I am."
