Bonnie's POV
After Enzo left I finished the bowl of popcorn and finally decided to get up around 7 when he still hadn't came back. But he said he would, so he would. I go take a shower and get ready. I was putting earrings on when my phone rang. It was Caroline.
"Happy Birthday!" She cheered when I picked up
"Thank you" I reply smiling
"Wait" She orders before turning her head back
"Girls!" She calls "Isn't there something you wanted to say to Aunt Bonnie?"
I smiled as Lizzie and Josie ran over sticking their faces in front of the camera
"Happy Birthday Aunt Bonnie" Josie exclaims
"Happy Birthday Aunt Bonnie" Lizzie Echoes
"Thank you girls" I smile
They run off and Caroline laughs looking back at me
"And you look so beautiful!" She gasps "What? Is your boyfriend cooking you dinner?"
"He's at the armory but we're going to have dinner when he gets back"
She nods and I stare at her waiting for her to realize what I just said.
"WAIT" She exclaims
I smile putting on an oblivious face
"You didn't deny me calling Enzo your boyfriend... are you two-"
"Yeah. Yeah we are"
I laugh thinking about it happily
"And I'm happy. I'm so happy. Real happy"
"Awww" Caroline reacts
I think about Enzo and how happy he actually makes me
"I love him, Care" I blurt out as I think about it out loud "He's always there for me, to take care of me and make me laugh. He's not at all the person I thought he was. I thought he was hot before, sure. But he's not the arrogant selfish monster I thought. He's loyal and charming and funny and caring"
Caroline smiles listening to me speak
"When he calls me I don't answer the phone saying 'What do you need?'. I say 'Hey' instead. Cause it's never him wanting me to do something for him, it's him asking me if I need something, Always. I'm in love with him"
"Bonnie I'm so happy for you" She tells me "You deserve to be happy more than anyone"
I smile in awe at her words
"Now have you told him that?"
"I just told myself that" I laugh "But I'm going to say it.... as soon as he gets home"
"Hey I'm home!" A voice coincidentally calls on the phone
Caroline turns back as Alaric walks over to her carrying take-out bags
"Hey Bonnie" He says seeing me "Happy Birthday"
"Thank you" I reply
He walks away probably to look for the girls and Caroline looks back at me
"I should go and eat but talk to you later ok?"
"Of course" I reply "I love you"
"I love you too"
She hangs up the call and I set the phone down and finish getting ready.
A while later, Enzo is still not home, but my phone rings again. This time it's Matt.
