The next morning

I'd managed to fight off anymore of her digging around in my head, and keep her from finding out more. However I couldn't help the fact that she knew about her and now she was in danger. That one moment of weakness yesterday had ruined everything.

"Just turn it off. It's a little bitty humanity switch right at the back of your noggin" Sybil exclaims "I've got big plans for you and it'll streamline the whole process if your emotions aren't riding shotgun. Come on, Enzo. Room service is getting cold."

I pick myself off the ground and sit down on the couch

"Well, if you're feeling peckish, don't let me stop you." I snark, taking a drink

"Look at Damon over there. He's got the right idea. He's happy."

"Bored, actually. Just kill him." Damon comments sitting in a chair and reading a book

"In three millennia, I have a pretty unblemished record when it comes to controlling men. 50,000 to zero, Give or take a few Peloponnesian's" I make a face "And I'm not about to add one to the loss column just because he doesn't feel like submitting"

"Well, he's a tough nut crack. 70 years in a cage'll do that to you, and you're just building up his tolerance for torture." Damon tells her

"Well I've got a pretty full itinerary" She says walking over to stand behind Damon "so I guess we're just gonna have to move on to Plan 'B'. 'B' as in 'Bonnie'"

"Which will be about as effective as Plan 'A'" I say "She means nothing to me"

I turn back to my drink

"Is that so?" Sybil asks "I guess we'll find out. Damon?"

"Hmm"

"Would you do me a favor and kill Bonnie Bennett?"

"Sure" Damon shrugs

My eyes widen, thinking about Bonnie. Her life was in danger again and there was nothing I could do about it this time. I couldn't let this get her back in my head, I had to trust her and trust that she could protect herself.

Bonnie's POV

I lay in the bed next to Caroline waiting for her to wake up. Stefan had proposed to her last night and I had snuck in early this morning to surprise her. She started to move and I smiled excitedly as she turned around.

"SURPRISE!" I yell as soon as she opens her eyes

"Bonnie, what the f-" She exclaims in shock

I burst out in laughter as she sits up and pulls her cardigan on, starting to laugh as well. I sit up.

"You are engaged and we are celebrating" I tell her, laughing "First, we're gonna drink too much champagne. And then, I am taking you wedding dress shopping. I know it's a little early, but you're gonna try on thousands of dresses before you find the perfect one, so we may as well start now."

Caroline looks around still processing everything before turning back to me

"Bonnie, look, I love you, and this is amazing, but you don't have to put on a happy face for me right now."

"I'm not putting it on! I'm happy for you, I promise." I say, genuinely meaning it. I was feeling a lot better from yesterday. She eyes me "Care, you asked me to be your bridesmaid when we were ten years old. You've been waiting for this your whole life. I'm happy for you. I swear"

I pop open the champagne bottle and the corks hits the wall as we both yell and laugh

"Okay, but I promise we are going to find Enzo and you two are gonna be happy and you're gonna get married on the top of the Eiffel Tower..."
