Chapter 19 : Fun Starts Tomorrow

"Ok, Bonnie you should know... this isn't going to be easy" Caroline tells me

We stand outside of the car, parked in front of my cabin. Enzo still was inside, unconscious on the backseat.

"I'll be fine" I sigh

I've seen vampires with their humanity off before, Caroline and Elena. They were terrible. But it was never my personal problem to deal with. Now it was. My boyfriend. I wanted to think he wouldn't be like the rest but I remember seeing him with his humanity off before. It was years ago, back when we hated each other, he was just like them, killing people mercilessly, not having a care in the world.

"I know what you're thinking" Caroline says "He's the person who's closest to you, so you think it won't hurt so bad. That nothing he can say will matter if you don't take it seriously but you're wrong. He knows you Bonnie, he knows all your secrets, your weak spots so he's going to try to hurt you and make you let him go, but you can't ok? Everything he says is a lie"

"I know" I nod

"Ok why don't you go inside and get cleaned up" She ordered "I'll get him inside"

"No I can do it" I reply

"Bonnie" She sighs "It's just me. I'm not gonna kill him. I'll just get him inside and tied up"

After a moment of hesitation I let out a sigh and nod.

"Thank you" I smile slightly "For being here for me. And earlier for what you did"

"Hey. Always ok?" She says "You're my best friend. I'd do anything for you. And I know you'd do, and have done, much more for me"

I give her a smile before heading inside. I go into the bedroom and change into sweats, pull off my jewelry and wash my face before going back into the living room. Enzo lies on the floor his hands and legs tied up with vervain ropes. Caroline stood in the kitchen.

"Hey sorry..... I was just making myself some tea. You don't mind do you?"

"Yeah of course!" I exclaim "Care, my house is your house too. You know that"

"So who decorated the place?" She smiles

"We did" I reply "Well, me. You should've seen it when I got here it was a mess. After we got together I started to complain about it so much, he finally decided to take me out to get stuff"

I laugh thinking back, and glance over at him, his head was on the cold hard floor. I watch him sadly as Caroline starts telling me about what we had to do and drying Enzo out or whatever.

"Maybe I should get him a pillow" I think out loud

"Bonnie" Caroline sighs

"Or not" I quickly say, yanking my head away to look at her.

She gives me a look, I knew what she was thinking. She thought I wasn't going to able to handle this.

"I have to do this, Care. If it's not me who else?" I argue "No one else knows him, not the way I do. At least that's one thing we know for sure. His humanity, it's me. I'm all he cares about"

"Oh now don't flatter yourself too much, Luv"

I turn back around immediately at the sound of Enzo's voice, looking at him hopefully. Hoping that maybe he was back, even though it was impossible.

"Good you're up" Caroline snaps smiling

I pull myself together, knowing I have to toughen up.

"Did I lie?" I ask, referring to my statement earlier
