"So, Medda ordered my costume online last night," Jack told the newsies once they were all At the tables.
"So, what are you going to be?" Davey asked him.
"It's a surprise," Jack smiled, Davey's lucky he's so cute, I would never under any other circumstance wear a panda onesie. He thought, looking at the clock to see how much time they had until bell.
"So, what are everyone's plans for the day?" Maine looked around.
"I think we're all going to head over to Elmer's shed so I can modify their costumes," Buttons responded.
"Yeah, my Cinderella costume needs some more bling," Race nodded.
"Right..." Buttons sighed.
"If you guys aren't going to support who I wanna be for Halloween, maybe I need some better friends," Race crossed his arms.
"Well, I personally love the idea of you being Cinderella, I think at some point In the future we should all be Disney princesses for Halloween," Maine suggested, "except me, of course, I'll be a Disney prince, Aladdin or someone,"
"Aladdin? Of all people?" Crutchie laughed, "you choose Aladdin of all people?"
"Well, what do you think, smarty-pants?" Maine raised her eyebrows.
"I don't know," Crutchie shrugged, "not Aladdin,"
"Wait, I will be a Disney princess," Maine giggled, "Emperor Kuzco,"
The newsies laughed, "THAT is the type of style we expect from Maine," Crutchie nudged Maine.
"I know, I know, thank you," Maine bowed.
"You know, we should all start thinking about what we're going to do for the eighth grade talent show," Race pointed out, "we only have six months to practice,"
"Ike and I have a skit planned," Mike looked at his twin.
"I'm going to do a gymnastics routine," Maine pointed finger guns, "self written of course, as long as it looks cool, who cares?"
"Davey, are you going to try your juggling again?" Jack asked enthusiastically.
"Maybe, I'm still not comfortable preforming in front of such a big crowd, I mean, we're talking the entirety of the eighth grade," Davey shrugged.
"I don't have any talents, unless single-handedly preforming The Empire Strikes Back with a flawless Vader impression counts, but I don't think anyone wants to see that," Crutchie chuckled.
"You're too funny, Crutchie," Maine shook her head, "I do want to hear that Vader impression though,"
"Okay," Crutchie nodded and put his hand over his mouth to imitate the recognizable breathing, then, much to everyone's surprise, he did absolutely nail the impression, "No, I AM your father,"
"Woah, that's incredible," Maine congratulated, "My best friend is cooler than your best friend!"
"We heard you kids talking about the talent show," Oscar Delancey smirked, he and Morris had walked over to the newsies tables.
"Don't you dorks know you have have talent to be in a talent show?" Morris teased.
"Oh, so you won't be signing up?" Maine smiled, there was an 'oooooh' from the newsies and a few other kids sitting nearby.
"You think you're so smart, don't you, Jameson?" Morris snarled.
"I know I'm smarter than you," Maine shrugged, "because I don't use Pixar quotes as roasts, Davey, get our notebook out of my backpack, you'll want to take notes on this,"
