Part 23

It was a boring weekend, Bonnie was busy on a date with Karthik, Kitty wasn't picking up my calls and Caroline was out of town, I had nothing else to do.

I had spent the entire day in my room reading and now I just needed a break so I decided to go out for a drive.

I headed to Ayush's room and found him doing his homework, it was the first time I was seeing him doing something else rather than watching TV, otherwise he was always stuck to the TV.

"Hey, want to go out for a while?" I asked as I peeped into his room.

"Sure, this homework is eating my head up anyway." He smiled as he jumped out of his bed, he put on his shoes and walked outside as we both headed to my car.

"So, where are we going?" he asked as we both got inside the car, honestly I dint even know, all I knew was that I wanted to get out.

"No idea, what do you feel like doing?" I asked hoping he would come up with an idea.

"How about we go to our favorite ice cream place opposite the park, we can get some ice cream and sit in the park peacefully eating it?" He suggested.

"Childish but okay." I smiled at him as I drove off, the place wasn't really far so we arrived there within ten minutes, I parked the car and Ayush rushed out of it excitedly, he had a secret affair with ice creams, he got so excited about them.

"There's a huge line." He pouted as he looked at the line ahead, this place was one of the best in mystic falls and it was usually crowded on the weekends.

"Maybe we could go somewhere else, I'm definitely not standing in this long line, it would take at least half an hour until our turn comes." I said.

"But I don't like any other ice cream, let's just stand please." Ayush pouted cutely, this guy knew how to convince me.

"I've had a long day Ayush, we can come back tomorrow." I pouted back at him, I dint mind standing in the line but I was already tired for the day.

"How about you wait for me in the car, I'll come back as soon as I get the ice cream please?" He really wanted to eat it so I just gave in.

I nodded as I handed him some money and then walked away, I stood beside my car and looked at him, he was busy chatting with a girl who was in front of him in the line, she looked most probably her age and knowing my brother, I had no doubts he was flirting with her.

Kids this days!

I looked around the park which was mostly empty apart from a few people walking around, I figured I'd sit there on the benches rather than in the car, at lease I would get some fresh air. I locked the car and headed inside looking for an empty bench when my eyes fell on someone.That someone was Arnav.

It was strange, he was all alone in a park, seated on a bench far away from people, he was looking at the ground and he looked somewhat sad.
