Part 21

The last time I saw Arnav was when he came to talk to me at my place and we both ended up arguing as usual, it had been two weeks since then.

I started going to college again, it was the only way I could keep my mind diverted and not think about the terrible memory of my childhood.

For the first few days I thought he wasn't just coming to college to avoid me but then he hadn't shown up for two weeks and I couldn't stop wondering where he was.

I hated when he was around trying to irritate me, but now I dint seem to be liking the fact that he wasn't around either.

"You okay?" Stefan asked as he settled down beside me and smiled at me.

"Yeah." I replied without looking at him.

"You don't really seem okay, does it have anything to do with Arnav?" He asked.

"I have a lot more important things in life to bother me than him Stefan, but where is he anyway, I haven't seen him for a while." I looked at him curiously.

"He's been out of town, he's got some personal problems to handle." Stefan replied to which I nodded, I remembered there was also a time before when he left, what was the personal stuff he was dealing with anyway?

I couldn't believe that I actually missed him being around, it was strange, I never thought I was going to miss someone, that too Arnav but recently a lot had been happening between us that I thought won't ever happen.

"Do you like him?" Stefan asked out of the blue, I looked at him and he was looking at me seriously, I wondered why he was asking that.

"What? No! Everyone knows we both hate each other." I tried to laugh, did we really hate each other? Maybe yes, but that was before, what did we have now?

"What did you do to my friend that he had to leave?" Damon asked as he stopped in front of me looking at me weirdly, seriously why did he always think I'm the reason behind everything that happens to Arnav or Stefan or anyone?

"Damon." Katherine gave him an angry look.

"Don't Damon me, it's been two weeks and he hasn't been back, I don't remember the last time he was away for this long." Damon said as he looked at Katherine then me.

"So you think I kidnapped him and hid him somewhere? Really Damon, get over it, if he left it was his wish, I dint have anything to do with it. What problem do you have with me anyway?" I looked at him angrily.

"I don't really get good vibes from you." He said as he looked at Stefan and eyed him for a moment as he walked away, Katherine seemed angry on him for talking to me like that so she dint go along with him, instead she settled down on the seat behind me.

"Khushi, umm would you like to go for dinner with me tonight maybe?" Stefan looked at me nervously, I looked back at him in surprise, why did he want to take me for dinner? I thought everything between him and Caroline was working out fine.
