The Destiny of two

Chapter 3~ The Dragons call

The second Merlin and I got out of the cell we got put into stocks luckily I wasn't in for too long I just called Arthur a doosh but unfortunately for Merlin he was in for long. When I got out, I decided to have a little fun I grabbed a tomato and threw it at my brother. Gaius walks through the lower town and sees me throw a tomato and laughs, he continues going to wherever he was going.

"Seriously, Liv?" He glares at me

"I'm sorry I had to" I laugh.

All the people who were throwing vegetables at Merlin ran off to get some more.

I walk up to Merlin, "How are you doing there?"

"Just amazing." He says sarcastically.

I turn and see a woman walking toward us she has brown hair and brown eyes, she is wearing a red dress and cloak. Merlin looks up at her and looks even stupider than before.

"I'm Guinevere, but most people call me Gwen. I'm the lady Morganans maid" she says to us.

"I'm Olivia, and this is..."

"I'm Merlin," He cuts me off

He holds out his hand which he could barely stretch out, Gwen shakes it and smiles.

"Although most people call me an idiot." He says

"No no no, I saw what you did, you're so brave." She says smiling at him

"Hey, I was there too," I complain "Did I turn invisible or something?" I ask

"Well I'm glad you walked away, you weren't gonna beat him," She says to Merlin.

Merlin looks up with an offended look on his face I just laughed.

"I could beat him." He says proudly

"Yeah, right." I laugh

Merlin looks at me "I think I'm gonna go, see you around Gwen Bye Merlin."

I walk away and leave Merlin to be a complete idiot in front of Gwen. I go to explore the city, and I somehow end up near Gaius's chambers, so I just go inside and sit on my bed. I hear the door open and assume Merlin is back I go outside and see him sitting down at the table I go to sit beside him and eat dinner Merlin was avoiding the vegetables, which I can't blame him. I finish my food first.

"Olivia, do you mind taking this to lady Helen she needs it for her voice." Gaius holds out a drink

"Sure." I grab the Elixir and head out to Lady Helen's room. I open the door and walk in there was no one in the room, so I just put the preparation on the desk for her. When I put it down, I see this weird thing of hay, and I had no idea what it was. I pick it up to look at it; I may be going crazy. Still, I'm sure I heard whispering I put it down and see a pile of books and notes, I pick it up to look at it as I was about to open it bur Lady Helen walks in I put the book down quickly and look at her.

"What are you doing in here." She asks.

"Um, I was asked to give this to you." I grab the Elixir and pass it to her.

I look at her and smile then quickly walk away. That was level ten weird I head out into the citadel when I'm down there I see Merlin walking past Prince Arthur.

"How's your knee walking coming along?" Arthur asks.

Merlin ignores Arthur I smile and brush past him to catch up to Merlin. We start walking together.

"Ah, don't run away." He says in this cocky manner

Merlin and I stop "What from you?" I say, turning around.

"Thank goodness  I thought you two were deaf as well as dumb." He says rudely

Merlin then gets grumpy "Look I told you, you were an imbecile I just didn't realise you were a royal one. Oh, what are you going to do? Get your daddy's men to protect you?"

Arthur laughs "I could take you apart with one blow."

"I could do it with less than that," Merlin says, smiling.

I look at Merlin "Remember what Gaius said no more trouble."

"I warn you I've bee trained to kill since birth," Arthur says while waving a chain thingy in the air.

"Wow!" I say sarcastically "and how long have you been training to be a prat?"

Merlin and Arthur start fighting, and surprisingly Merlin isn't doing horribly. I spoke too soon Merlin fell over, and Arthur was about to hit him, I quickly looked around and used my magic to get Arthur's weapon stuck in some Garden Hoes. I see Gaius, and so does Merlin, he got distracted and got hit over the head with a broom. The guards run to take Merlin to jail.

"Wait, let him go you may be an idiot, but he's a brave one, there's something about you Merlin I can't quite put my finger on it," Arthur says

I quickly leave before Gaius could attack me. I don't usually leave my brother, but in this case, he's on his own when I get back to the chambers I collapse on the bed. I was much more tired then I thought I fell asleep quite quickly. Merlin and I both get woken up to hearing our names being called again. We decide to get up and follow the sound we end up in the dungeons with two guards there. They were playing a game with dice Merlin uses his magic to fly the dice off the table. The guards get up to get them while Merlin and I sneak through, we find some stairs leading down into a cave Merlin grabs a torch and starts going down, with me right behind him. We get to the bottom, and the area is enormous; it is a giant network of caves.

Merlin calls out "Where are you!

Suddenly a dragon appears Merlin pushes me behind him and makes sure I'm safe. The dragon lands on the pedestal rock thing and says "I'm here."

Merlin and I are still in shock of seeing an actual dragon Merlin eventually lets me step forward, but he still is making sure I don't get to close.

"How small you two are for such a great destiny." The dragon says

"why?" I ask

"what do you mean. What destiny " Merlin continues

"Your gifts were given to you for a reason." He says.

"So there was a reason," I say

The dragon smiles. "Arthur is the once and future king who will unite the lands of Albion,"

"Right." Merlin says, confused "What does this have to do with us."

"He faces many threats from friend and foe alike." he continues.

"yeah so what does this have to do with us?" I ask

"Everything" He snaps "Without out you. Arthur will never succeed. Without you, there will be no Albion."

"Nope Nah ah," I say

"You've got this wrong," Merlin says

"There is no right or wrong, only what is and what isn't." the dragons says.

"But I'm serious if anyone wants to go and kill him go ahead, in fact, I'll help them," Merlin says grumpily.

"Yeah, I'll come help too," I say

The dragon laughs "None of us can choose our destiny, and none of us can escape it."

"No," we say in unison "No way, No."

"There must be another Arthur because this one is an idiot," I say

"Maybe it is your two's destiny to change that." the dragon says

The dragon starts to fly away.

"Wait, stop we need to know more," Merlin shouts.

Merlin and I look at each other.

"I am not saving Arthurs life he's an imbecile," I say grumpily.

Merlin laughs and heads back to Gaius's chambers with me right behind.
