Traded Mate - Bakudeku

Chapter 21

"You have ten minutes, no more. I don't have time to waste on such things." Katsuki declared, his words final. 

He didn't want Izuku to go see Todoroki, but he wasn't going to prevent the omega from doing so. He knew how important Todoroki was to Izuku... however, ten minutes would be all he'd give them. 

"Fine." Izuku answered. He would have liked more time but he understood how hard it already was for Katsuki to leave him with another alpha. After all, Katsuki was really possessive and it was clear that he didn't like Todoroki one bit.

They arrived at the infirmary and Katsuki stopped in front of the entrance's door. "I'll wait for you here, make it quick." He told Izuku. He wouldn't enter with him because if he saw Todoroki, he wasn't sure he'd be able to resist the urge to kill the other alpha. His instincts were considering him as a threat to his relationship with Izuku.

"Thank you..." Izuku murmured, his emerald eyes locking with Katsuki's crimson eyes for some instant before the omega entered the infirmary. 

He recognised the two rows of beds along the walls and slowly headed where he remembered Todoroki's bed was. His heart was beating so fast inside his chest; it felt so long since he had last seen Todoroki. He couldn't wait to see him, to talk to him and make sure he really was alive and alright... 

Izuku's emerald eyes soon caught sight of half-white half-red hair and his heart instantly pounded in response. His body moved on its own; his eyes suddenly watering without any warning. 

"Todoroki!" He called out as he ran toward Todoroki. 

"Prince?" Todoroki didn't even have time to register what was happening that Izuku was already in his arms, the omega's face burrowed into his chest as tears rolled down his cheeks.

"Don't ever do such a stupid thing again! I told you I needed you but you still tried to get yourself killed!" Izuku cried out. His arms were tightly wrapped around Todoroki, as if he would never let go of him ever again, while tears kept escaping his emerald eyes. "I thought you were going to die, you have no idea how worried I were!" He hiccuped into Todoroki's chest.

Todoroki felt his heart clench at the sound of Izuku's sobs, guilt slowly setting inside him. "I'm sorry, prince." He apologised in a quiet voice. "Please, forgive me." He asked while gently running his hand through Izuku's green curls, trying to soothe the omega.

Todoroki knew he shouldn't have defied the King, but he simply couldn't do nothing when he also knew Katsuki was hurting Izuku. He had had to do something, anything, even if it meant losing his life in the way...

However, now that he was hearing Izuku's cries, he understood it hadn't been the right solution.

"Don't ever do this again." Izuku hiccuped as he finally looked at Todoroki. "You have to stay by my side, okay?" He asked, his emerald eyes gazing right into Todoroki's bicoloured ones.

Todoroki couldn't look away. He found himself mesmerised by Izuku's beautiful eyes and, at the same time, he became absolutely unable to refuse the omega anything. "Okay." He answered without even thinking, because whatever Izuku would ask from him, he would do it.

"You promise?" Izuku insisted, his voice soft and filled with hope. His face was so close to Todoroki's that they could almost feel each other's breath on their skin. 

"Yes." Todoroki assured again. If sacrificing his life made Izuku miserable, he wouldn't do it even if he thought it should be done. 

Izuku's happiness was the only thing that mattered to Todoroki.

"Were you okay, without me?" He asked, his hand gently caressing Izuku's cheek. Izuku melted into the affectionate touch and nuzzled Todoroki's palm in response. It had been so long since he had seen or talked to Todoroki; he had missed him so much...

"The King didn't harm you?" Todoroki asked again as Izuku didn't answer. He was worried that something had happened while he was in a coma but Izuku didn't seem to be hurt anywhere, it was a relief.

"No, he didn't." Izuku eventually answered. And it was the truth, Katsuki hadn't hurt him once. He even did quite the contrary as he instead made Izuku feel pleasure without words...

Izuku's cheeks turned a soft red at the thought and his stomach fluttered, embarrassment slightly setting inside him. He still couldn't believe he liked being touched by Katsuki. What's more, the fact he actually didn't mind liking being touched by Katsuki was what was scaring him the most...

"Are you okay? Your face looks red." Todoroki asked and Izuku was suddenly nudged out of his thoughts, his cheeks turning an even darker shade of red at Todoroki's words. 

"I-I'm fine, don't worry..." He timidly stammered, feeling flustered that he was thinking about Katsuki and what they had done together while being with Todoroki. It shouldn't happen but, somehow, Izuku's mind kept thinking about Katsuki...

"You know you're way too important for me to not worry about you..." Todoroki unexpectedly declared as he gently cupped Izuku's face into his hands. 

Izuku was caught off guard by Todoroki's sudden confession and his breathing hitched in response. He stopped to move at all, his emerald eyes locking with Todoroki's bicoloured ones as they both looked at each other, none of them saying anything.

Izuku didn't understand what was happening until he saw Todoroki's gaze move to his pink lips. His heart pounded, realisation hitting him. 

Todoroki wanted to kiss him.

Izuku didn't know what to do. He knew Todoroki would never do anything without his authorisation and that the alpha was surely waiting for Izuku to make the first move, to show this was okay... 

But Izuku didn't know if he should do it. 

He had once thought what he felt for Todoroki was love, however, now that he had spent intimate moments with Katsuki... he wasn't sure anymore. He was confused between his feelings for Todoroki and Katsuki. He didn't know what was what and who was who for him...

He needed to make sure, somehow.

So Izuku closed his eyes, before slowly leaning in. His lips softly brushed against Todoroki's and his breath slightly hitched at the contact. He felt Todoroki's hands move to his neck and pull him closer until their lips were firmly pressed together.  

Todoroki started to kiss Izuku, his lips moving against Izuku's at a slow pace. He seemed cautious and unsure about how far he was allowed to take this, so Izuku slightly opened his mouth to show it was okay to deepen the kiss. 

Todoroki didn't hesitate to do so. He let his tongue slip into Izuku's mouth, joining the omega's own tongue and slowly caressing it. They started a slow dance, their lips and tongues perfectly moving together.

Izuku waited for the shivers to travel his whole body, but they didn't come. Neither did his heart flutter or his skin tingle... 

It didn't feel special.

He could tell Todoroki was a great kisser but it just didn't feel right, not like it did with Katsuki. Something was missing.

Izuku progressively slowed the pace of their kissing down. He didn't want to hurt Todoroki's feelings so he did things smoothly and slowly. He was about to part lips with Todoroki's when, suddenly, someone's voice could be heard. 

"The fuck!?" 

The person shouted and Izuku's heart instantly stopped to beat at the sound of the voice, his stomach anxiously clenching as his emerald eyes landed on Katsuki... 

What had he done?
