Chapter 30

"Stop worrying, I'm sure he's fine." Kaminari told Izuku as he saw how worried the omega looked.

Izuku hadn't taken his emerald eyes off the eastern forest for now a few long minutes, desperately waiting for Katsuki to come out of there. He didn't know why, but his instincts were telling him something was wrong. He could feel deep into his core that something bad had happened to Katsuki.

Maybe it was only his nerves speaking... but, what if it wasn't?

"Are you sure?" He asked Kaminari, the worry clear in his voice. Soldiers had already started to come back to the encampment but there still wasn't any sign of Katsuki.

"Yes, I'm sure." Kaminari answered. He had been under Katsuki's service for now several years and not once something had happened to the powerful alpha. He always came back untouched, not even one injury on his strong body.

However, his words of reassurance didn't seem enough to calm Izuku's worry.

Kaminari chuckled. "You're completely in love with him, huh?" He told Izuku as he could see in the omega's emerald eyes just how much he cared for Katsuki.

"W-what?" Izuku felt caught short by the unexpected comment and suddenly blushed a deep red in response. He promptly lowered his eyes, his cheeks completely flushed as he struggled to come up with words.

Kaminari laughed again at the adorable sight of the tiny omega being flustered. "Don't worry. Bakugou is crazy about you, too." He unexpectedly stated. Although Katsuki never let anyone get too close to him, Kaminari had known the alpha for enough years to confidently tell he loved Izuku.

"I swear I never saw him look at someone the way he looks at you. He's clearly obsessed with you." He said and Izuku cutely blushed at Kaminari's words.

The omega knew Katsuki loved him, even if their relationship was sometimes quite complicated... but hearing confirmation from someone else had the effect of filling him with warmth. It felt good and made him happy.

Izuku was about to reply something when he saw Kirishima emerge from the forest.

The redhead noticed Izuku and Kaminari and immediately started to head toward them. He seemed to have some injuries but nothing serious, only small cuts here and there. "Is Bakugou back already?" He asked once he joined the beta and the omega.

"Not yet." Kaminari answered.

The fact Kirishima had asked where was Katsuki worried Izuku even more. The omega would have thought the King's right-hand man would know this, if not anyone else. "He wasn't with you?" He concernedly asked and Kirishima shook his head no.

"He went to the silver palace alone. Haven't seen him since then." The redhead stated, his words worrying Izuku like nothing else.

Why would Katsuki go to the silver palace alone? It was there that the most soldiers would have been. Moreover, the silver King was sure to also be there and, if the rumours were to be trusted, Tetsutetsu was quite the fighter...

Why would Katsuki face this many enemies alone?

Izuku was starting to really think his instincts were right and that something bad had happened to Katsuki. Fear of losing his alpha promptly started to fill him up, intense anxiety taking over him. He was about to decide to go look for Katsuki, even alone if he had to, when the Crimson King himself suddenly came out of the eastern forest.

Izuku felt utter relief wash over him at the sight of his alpha.

"Katsuki!" He couldn't resist and immediately went to meet Katsuki, wanting to see with his own eyes that he was safe and well.
