Izuku ran fast, the fastest he could, but he knew he wasn't even close as fast as an alpha. He could still hear the sound of metal colliding behind him in the background but tried to forget about it, instead focusing on running away.
Kaminari was fighting to save his life, Izuku couldn't let the beta's sacrifice be for nothing.
So he kept running, desperately trying to reach the throne room before Monoma could catch him. However, the library was one of the farthest places away from the throne room and the corridors seemed endless. Izuku thought he would never reach it in time when, finally, he recognized the massive door of the throne room.
But, before he could reach it, someone's hand suddenly gripped his green curls and yanked him back by his hair.
Izuku screamed as he was harshly pushed against a wall. A hand suddenly closed around his throat and his emerald eyes widened in utter fear, his whole body instantly tensing up as he saw Monoma right in front of him, a sick grin on the general's lips.
"You almost succeeded. Too bad I was faster..." Monoma taunted in a low voice that made Izuku's stomach churn in deep terror.
The omega instantly started to panic. "Let go of me! Don't touch me!" He vehemently yelled and tried to struggle, desperately clawing at Monoma's hand that was holding his throat. "What did you do to Kaminari!?" He shouted, panic and fear completely overtaking him.
"I pierced his stomach and left him to bleed to death." Monoma stated like it was nothing and Izuku suddenly stopped to trash around at the words.
"W-what?" He weakly stammered, his emerald eyes going wide and his heart painfully clenching inside his chest. It couldn't be. Monoma had just confessed to killing Kaminari and Izuku prayed it wasn't true, that it was only a lie. He prayed Monoma was only trying to scare him but, as he saw the sick grin on the alpha's face widening, he knew it wasn't the case.
"Should I do the same to you?" Monoma threatened in a low voice, clear amusement swirling in his purple eyes as he saw the look of utter horror taking over Izuku's features.
"I'm sure Bakugou would become crazy if he saw you drowning in your own blood. He'll probably become feral like he did when his parents were murdered. He'll blame himself and realize he's weak, that he can't even protect anybody..." He said and Izuku's heart ached further with each of the words Monoma pronounced.
"You're sick. What did he ever do to you?" Izuku asked in a small trembling voice. He couldn't comprehend why Monoma would do something like this, he just couldn't, but as the question left his lips, he saw how Monoma's eyes filled with pure hatred.
"He fucking thinks he's better than me, ordering me around and looking down on me! This fucking piece of shit, he'll see what I'll do!" The blond general suddenly burst out. Utter anger and hate were written all over his face, completely deforming him.
"I'll kill you and enjoy the face he'll make when he'll see your lifeless body. Better, I'll make him watch as I rip your throat out."
He declared and Izuku's whole being filled with utter terror. "N-no, please, don't do this!" The tiny omega started to thrash around again, desperately trying to get away from Monoma. He knew the alpha was serious and that his life really was in danger. He needed to do something or it would be the end of him.
"No! Katsuki!" He loudly screamed, praying that Katsuki would hear him and save him. He vehemently struggled and managed to scratch Monoma's eye, making the blond general shout in pain and forcing him to let go of Izuku's throat.
"Katsuki!" Izuku promptly ran toward the throne room. He needed to reach it and open the door. He'll be safe with Katsuki by his side, the King would protect him.
