13-Dream Team

You can hear your heart pounding in your ears but you smile to yourself... you did it.

Todoroki finishes next, Bakugo following behind him screaming. He leans over, panting, and placing his hands on his knees. You look up at him.

"Not..bad..new..girl," he breathes out. You laugh a bit and stand up, your body feeling warm and moveable.

You walk over to Shoto and fluff up his hair which he was too tired to reject. You look down and see tiny electric burn marks on his arms which make you frown with guilt. Finally, the girl with the clipboard comes running out again.

"Good job!" she says running up to you. She has a big smile plastered on her face.

"Ah- Thank you!" you say nervously.

"It's time to go back in the stadium. The others should be finishing soon, but a lot of them couldn't figure out how to get past your electricity wall." she says looking at you.

You follow the girl into the stadium with Bakugo and Todoroki. You made sure to stand next to Shoto and far away from Katsuki, who wouldn't look up from the ground.

"AND THERE THEY ARE!! HOW DOES IT FEEL BEING NUMBER ONE NEW GIRL??" Present Mic screams over the speakers.

The crowd goes crazy again, sending balloons and party poppers all over the place. You look up at Todoroki who was looking out at the crowd, his face a twisted mess of anger and his eyes darker than before.

"Woah," you whisper, tugging at his sleeve. "You okay?"

"I'm fine," he says coldly, sending you a million signals that he was lying.

You try to follow where his eyes were glaring to. At first, you didn't see anything but slowly your eyes focus on Endeavor, Shoto's dad. You sigh. You didn't know particularly what happened between them two, but you did know that they didn't talk and that it was really hard for Shoto to be open about it. So, something pretty bad must have happened.. not to mention his scar...

You turn, ready to say something to Shoto about how you believe in him, but he was already standing in the middle. He had a cold look on his face, and when he saw you staring he smiled weekly at you, but immediately dropped it afterwards.

You decided you wouldn't say anything at the moment, you didn't want to make matters worse.

You stand in the middle next to Denki. He passed in 25th place and was swinging from side to side because he couldn't sit still from excitement. When he found out you won, he actually started crying saying that he was proud of you. He shook your shoulders as you tried to calm him down, laughing while doing so.

"Forty-two students have passed," Midnight says over the microphone.

Now that she mentions it, you had noticed that the group has gotten much smaller. Hopefully, all of your class made it.

"We still have one more over-all game before the 1v1 battles. The next game is called 'The Calvary Battle.' Each student is given a point value and a team value depending on where their members finished. The forty-second place finisher is worth five points. The first place finisher, however.."

"is worth ten million points."

Everyone turns their head towards you and your eyes widen. 'What the hell?!?'

"These points will be displayed on a headband that each student will receive" Midnight explains. "You will be in teams of 4, and one person will be the rider. The other 3 student will work on protecting the rider and moving him or her around the ring."
