You rub your hands down your wet hair as you stare down at the water. The steam rising and covering your face. You close your eyes, breathing it in.
"So" Mina says to you, a wide smile on her face. You glance up to see all the girls looking at you. You straighten a bit and clear your throat nervously.
"Yeah?" you ask softly, your voice not coming out as confident as you would have liked it to. Your eyes dance around everyone's faces, desperate to read what they were thinking.
"Are you and Bakugo like... together?" says Mina, kicking her leg so tiny droplets were thrown at you. You try to stop to slight blush rising onto your face, hopefully the evening darkness around you would cover it.
"No, we aren't dating but we i-" you huff at your lack of words. "It's complicated." you finally manage to say.
"Look" Momo says, making her way into the conversation. "We all can agree we have never seen Bakugo act the way he does around you. He is always yelling and stressed out, and it's gotten worse ever since the attack that happened to him. He is impossible to talk to, but when you came it seemed as if you calmed him down. He actually cares about you."
Mina lets out a laugh, leaning her head back. "Yeah, it's kinda creepy" she says lightheartedly.
Just then, you hear a familiar scream on the other side of the wall; where the boys spring was located.
"I SWEAR IF YOU EVEN TRY TO LOOK OVER THAT WALL SHORTIE YOU WON'T LIVE TO SEE TOMORROW, YOU HEAR ME?" Bakugo screamed, rage pouring out of his voice.
You spin around and look back at the girls, your eyebrows raised. Mina, sitting on a rock narrows her eyes at the wall; almost like she was waiting to beat someone up.
You hear one big explosion, causing you to cover yourself with your arms and wince. You expected to see Bakugo fly over the wall and your skin itched with how many girls were exposed. But before he could, Kota, a kid the class met earlier, pushed down Minoru. He was placed at the top of the wall, but he had been sitting down so no one knew he was there. Well, until now.
You hear Mineta scream as he falls back down to the ground on the other side, all the girls letting out a laugh along with relived sighs. You hear Bakugo screaming at him, catching him in the process.
"Thank you Kota!" Mina yells waving at him. Your eyes widen as the tiny boy turns his head towards you, his face changing color immediately. He stammers back in pure shock and you stand up in a panic.
"Kota! The wall!" you scream. But, it was too late, he had already fallen.
Without thinking you rush out of the hot spring and run out, your body moving before your mind had a chance to think. The thick chilly air poked at your wet body, your skin rising in defined goosebumps.
You wrap a towel around you sloppily in a matter of seconds, it not holding onto you very well. Charging up enough energy to get yourself over the wall, your mind blocks out the yelling that was coming from the girls behind you. You didn't know if the boys had noticed, or if they could catch Kota in time. You were not going to risk it.
Just as you let a bolt out of your hands, it blasting you into the air, another explosion could be heard on the other side. You were already in the air, you couldn't stop your body from moving now.
"Fuck" you mutter out. You clutch onto the towel, it still grasping itself around you by a thread. You land on top of the wall when Bakugo arrives, the kid in his hands. The momentum sends him flying into you and he lets go of Kota just in time before you two go falling down back onto the girls side.
