It was monday and I yet again walked into this hell hole that we call school and found myself hating every aspect of it all over again, just like I do every monday. I trudged through the crowded hallways, through all the sluts and jerks and nerds just to get to my locker. When I finally found my locker I was greeted by Teagan who had been standing right next to it.
I smiled weakly at her, "Hey."
"Hi," She responded quietly but loud enough for me to hear.
"You should go get your things so you won't be late," I suggested to her.
She shrugged and looked at her feet, "Okay."
What was that?
I ignored it and continued pouring the contents of my book bag into my locker.
When I arrived in my first class, I took my usual seat in the back of class. I hated being here all the time, no matter the circumstances. But under this circumstance, it was okay. I had no problem with it. Why, you ask? Well, you see, I use to hate it simply because I had a bitch on my right side all the time, that bitch didn't seem so bitchy now. She was like a angel or a voodoo doll, that type of concept. That girl was Teagan, she had me wrapped around her little finger. She wasn't even in class yet but I still felt like I was in the presence of an angel, I was quite odd but I was in no place to mind it. She showed up 5 minuets late, bloodshot eyes made it easy to know why she was late. She was high. She ignored that teachers question about why she was late and made her way to the back of the class, she took the seat next to mine and acted as if she didn't notice me. It was quite peculiar but I brushed it off.
As the class progressed, she looked like she was about to fall asleep, thats why I kept kicking her foot with mine, silently sending her a signal to sit up and stay awake. She took my hints and sat up straighter, the teacher seemed a little suspicious about it but he tried to not pay attention to her behavior. When the bell finally rung, I grabbed my things and her's and walked her to her locker. Once she put away her things, I slammed her locker and pulled her down the hallway to my locker. I did the same and them dragged her out of the school and to my car.
"Why did you go off and get high?" I asked, slightly aggravated.
"Well I was stressed and I needed a reliever," She mumbled.
"You've got a reliever right here," I said, pointing to myself.
"You couldn't help me with this one," She shrugged.
I perked up, "And why is that?"
"It was you're fault," She deadpanned.
"What?" I asked, mostly asking myself.
"I was waiting for you by your locker this morning and you just brushed me off like a crumb and pushed me away," She explained.
"Sorry," I mumbled.
"Whatever, can we go back now?" she asked.
"No, I'm not going back in there," I stated.
"Maybe you aren't but I am," She said confidently.
I pulled her back by her forearm, pulling her back into the car, "If I'm not, you're not."
"It's not your choice whether I go back or not," She glared at me.
"Wanna bet?"
