"God dammit!" I shouted.

I picked up the note and kept rereading it over again.

I had my hands in my hair, and I wanted to do nothing but fucking rip it out.

I stood up from the couch, where I had been sitting for hours now, and walked out the door.

Where could she be?

I sped down the road, on my way to her real house that she lived in before she started sleeping at mine.

I parked outside the house and climbed out of the car quickly. I jogged up to the front door and knocked loudly.

I heard shuffling, which gave me hope that she's her.

The door opened and my heart sunk back to the bottom of my stomach.

"Who are you?" Her mom asked.

"I'm, uh, Michael."

She thought for a minuet, "and..."

"I'm looking for Teagan."

She blinked a few times, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Oh, sorry, miss."

She shook her head at me and looked at me through her watery eyes.

"Come in," she sputtered.

I followed her command and walked inside.

I sat awkwardly on the couch and she sat next to me.

She finally stopped crying and wiped her eyes.

"She got into a car accident this morning, speeding, it was a head-on collision."

My heart sunk so far down into my stomach that I felt like just puking it out.

"So is she..." I couldn't finish my sentence because I couldn't find my words.

"She's not dead," that word made me cringe, "she's in the ICU."

I put my head in my hands and shook my head. I stood up quickly and ran out of the house and drove to the hospital.

I went to the front desk.

"May I help you?" The nurse asked.

"Can I see Teagan Michaels?" I asked.

She typed something into her computer and clicked around a few times. She read what the screen said and then went to grab a file from behind her. She opened it and read the information.

She sighed, "Sir, she's in the ICU, there are no visitors."

"I have to see her!" I shouted, I was sure that everyone in the room was starring at me now but I was too focused to care.

"Sir, keep your voice down."

"No, I'm going to see her whether it's allowed or not," I stated plain and simple.

She huffed and lead me down a series of halls. She stopped at one of the doors and opened it, it was a closet. She pulled out a blue suit, a blue cap, gloves, and a doctors mask.

She told me to use the sanitizer and the put all of that stuff on.

I did just that and she lead me to another series of halls. We came to a hallway that had a few doors on each side. She looked at a file that was hanging outside of one of them. She read it.

She put the file back and pulled out a key to the door. She unlocked it and opened it slowly before peeking in.

"That's her," The nurse spoke and nodded inside the door.

I walked over to the door and looked at what she was nodding at.

I was not prepared to see that.

The nurse let me walk in and left me alone. She shut the door and I waited until I couldn't hear her footsteps anymore before opening my eyes and looking at the sight before me.

There were machines all around the room, a not-so-steady beep was echoing through the room; her heart monitor. There were tubes and wires all leading down to one meeting place, Teagan.

I took in a shuddering breath. I looked down to her hand. Her fingers were still, everything about her was still except her chest that was moving up and down, thanks to her breathing mask.

I pondered on the thought of holding her hand.

I reached forward and just grazed my finger tips along the top of her hand, not actually holding it.

I couldn't bare to look up. It was just heartbreaking.

There were multiple cuts, bruises, and spots of dry blood that were covered with gauze.

Her lips formed a small frown.

It was painful to look at it, I couldn't imagine what it feels like to live with it.
