Teagan finally got her casts off, and today was her first day of rehabilitation. I dropped her off at the entrance of the hospital and went to park my car somewhere. Once I was parked, I took a deep breath and close my eyes.

She might not be able to walk again because of some asshole.

That thought was on my mind for the rest of the day, and it didn't help matters much when I had to help her around; it pissed me off more.

She might as well change her first name to "Cripple". Although that's what I was thinking, I never said it out loud.

While we were watching some movie, Teagan fell asleep. It was pretty awkward since she was laying on top of me, but I didn't have it in me to wake her up. Plus, I was feeling tired myself, so it didn't take long to fall asleep.

I woke up when some clattering noises came from somewhere in the house. I noticed Teagan wasn't on me anymore so I figured it was her making the noises, and getting in to trouble or what-not.

"Teagan?" I asked, still not making an effort to get up.

"In here," She hollered from the kitchen.

"Alright," I answered back for the heck of it.

I sat up slowly and stretched my arms over my head to release some tension in them. I yawned before I stood up and trudged into the kitchen. I first sight I saw was not a good one. She was up on the counter, struggling to get a cup out of the cupboard. I looked below her to see two plastic cups on the ground. I assumed that that's what the ruckus was about.

"Need help?" I chuckled.

"Please?" She stuck her bottom lip out. I walked over to her and leaned up to kiss her, putting my hands on her hips and helping her down after we pulled away. I reached up and grabbed the two glasses that she had been reaching for - with ease, might I add.

"Show off," She muttered teasingly. I turned around to see that she had stuck her tongue out like a child.

"I wasn't even trying, baby," I winked at her. She responded by rolling her eyes and gentle slapping my bicep.

"Whatever," She scoffed, trying to act annoyed.
