Back Already?

— 2 MONTHS LATER —

( Destiny's POV )

School's out, and mom wants me to come back to LA for the summer. I haven't talked to anyone out there since I left and tbh I've barely even thought about them. Bri and Chris are still my best friends, but now they're dating, which I have no problem with. When I first came back home everyone kept calling me to see why I left and things like that but I ignored them and soon they stopped bothering me. But back to what I was saying, mom wants me to come out there for the summer. Dad thinks it's a good idea and so do I; Chicago's the worst during the summer. So, I thought about it and I guess I'll go. I'm going out there drama-free, leaving old beef AND old flames in the past.

June 12th, 12:07 p.m.

"Daddddyyy come onnn you're gonna make me miss my flight" I complained

"You're not gonna miss anything. Why are you so anxious anyways? I thought you didn't even get along with the kids out there."

"What happened in the past can live in the past. I can't hold grudges or I'd just be mad forever, right?"

"I don't know where you got your wisdom from, but you're right, Princess. No need in holding grudges with someone especially if they're living their life and you're letting old things stand in the way of your own happiness,"

"Exactly!! But come on, let's go"

Sooner than I expected, we were at the airport and my plane was about to take off. We quickly said our goodbyes and I boarded the plane.

Next thing you know, I had landed and was roaming LAX searching for Mom and Pops. She told me they'd be waiting at Starbucks just like last time but I guess they switched some things around and Starbucks was now a little further down than it had been. When I finally got there, I soon spotted mom and she saw me too. As soon as we made eye contact, she squealed in excited and quickly came over to me giving me a warming hug.

"Princeesssss!! I've missed you so much"

"Mom, we talked literally everyday since I left!😂😂"

"That's not the same as you being here with me!"

"Yeah, I guess"

Pops came and gave me a hug also. "Hey Destiny, how've you been?," he asked.

"I've been good.. I'm actually excited to be back in LA"

"Well that's great, I hope this time is way better than the last time"

"So do I,"

Pops drove us to the same house that I remembered. One of the helpers brought in my bags and took them to my room which remained the same as it was before. They asked me did I want to do anything or see anyone specific today and I told them no, and that I was fine. They told me that Lessey was out w friends but would be back later and to let them know if I needed anything.

I knew my way around the house and didn't plan on leaving it today so I was all good. I made my way to the family room and began to watch some TV and I soon drifted asleep on the couch.

3 hours later..

I was awaken by the noise of people coming in the house. I looked at my phone and it was 4:48 p.m.

I sat up and stretched not paying the unknown people any mind. When I was done stretching, I went into the kitchen to get a snack, knowing dinner would be served soon but was surprised by who I saw when I went in there. Lessey and Chad. I forgot mom and pops said that she'd be home later. Oh well.
