The Kybuck Clan Volume III (RWBY X Star Wars)

Chapter Seven - Beginning Of The End

In the months since they pledged their undying loyalties to Darth Jadus, Team SHDW began enacting his will. It was through them that they were able to recruit Jacques Schnee and Doctor Merlot. As time went on, Team SHDW soon found themselves at Beacon where they prepared for the Vytal Festival. While they represented Vacuo, they truly served Darth Jadus. They watched the other teams participate in the tournament.  Mordred was deeply interested in the Kybuck Clan, specifically Katooni. They watched as the Kybuck Clan defeated Team TRQS. When Katooni used Force Judgement on one of her opponents, Mordred deeply became interested.

Mordred: It seems there's more to this one than we initially thought. 

Team SHDW then moved to their matched and absolutely dominated their opponents. They soon learned that the Kybuck Clan would be facing Team VRML while Team SHDW would be facing Team ASUR. After a brief encounter with Katooni and the Kybuck Clan,  Mordred met with his fellow teammates.

Grendel: About time you showed up. What took you so long?

Mordred: There's been a change of plans. I believe the Kybuck Clan has much to offer.

Circe: There's not much we can do about it. They'll be facing another team as do we.

Mordred: Then we'll just have to remedy that. I'm sure we'll find an opportunity. We have plenty of time to kill before the next set of matches. A shame we'll have to miss some good ones. 

With a brief intermission, Team SHDW split up into two teams. In the dead of night, Team SHDW managed to locate where the two teams were and isolated them. Mordred and Circe befriended Team VRML. Mordred then attacked them with a smile on his face. Team VRML were defenseless as Mordred cut them down with his double bladed spear. When the deed was done, Mordred turned to Circe. 

Mordred: That was far too easy. 

Circe: I wouldn't be so sure, Mordred.

Circe then points to one of the members of Team VRML trying to crawl away. Mordred simply chuckles as he walks over to the crawling student without a care in the world. He rolled him on his back. 

Mordred: That wasn't very smart of you, my friend. If you really wanted to live, you should've played dead. Though I can't have you crawling away and telling everyone what happened. I have plans. I'm afraid I can't have any witnesses. 

Mordred then laid his spear on the wounded student's neck. The hilt was placed on his neck. With a sadistic smile on his face, Mordred proceeded to step on the hilt and slowly choke the student to death. When the student stopped breathing, Mordred picked up his spear and sheathed it. He then used his Scroll to call Deimos. 

Mordred: Deimos. Did you get the job done?

Deimos(Scroll): Team ASUR has been taken care of. Grendel was able to get the drop on them. 

Mordred: Good. Dispose of the bodies discreetly. The last thing I want is the tournament delayed because you couldn't be bothered to dispose of the bodies properly.

Deimos(Scroll): I know of a few places where they won't think to look. 

Mordred: Then get to it. 

As Mordred ends the call with Deimos, Mordred turns his attention to Circe. 

Mordred: We shouldn't waste anytime, Circe. It won't be long until the Sun rises. 

Team SHDW then proceeded dispose the bodies of Teams VRML and ASUR. On the day of the match, the disappearance of the teams formed the organizers to change the matchup so that the Kybuck Clan and Team SHDW. As Petro and Katooni made their way to the biome, Mordred whispered to Circe. 

Mordred: Throw the match as early as you can. I want to see how they fight myself. 

As the match began, Circe did exactly as Mordred said and allowed Petro to eliminate her the first chance he got. With Circe eliminated, Mordred fought Katooni and Petro with the intention of studying their combat skills. Though he was holding back, Mordred could tell that Katooni and Petro were stronger than he initially thought. 

Mordred: (So that's the power of the Jedi.)

When he beat Katooni, he set his sights on Petro. In the brawl that ensued, Petro was able to take down Mordred with a devastating attack. 

Port(Intercom): The match is over! They Kybuck Clan wins!

With the match called, Mordred watched with a smile on his face as Petro carried Katooni to the medical facility. Circe then approached him.

Circe: Were you able to get what you were looking for?

Mordred: That and more. Lord Jadus was right about them. The power they wielded was more than I could handle. I was actually preparing to cut loose, but that would've endangered the operation. So I decided to give them this victory. 

Circe: What now? Should we kill them?

Mordred: No. That honor belongs to Darth Jadus. For now, we wait. It won't be long until Cinder puts her plan into action. Once it starts, Lord Jadus gave us strict instructions to leave as quickly as possible. 

With that, Mordred and Circe made their way back to Team SHDW. Despite losing the match, Mordred was more than satisfied. In that fight, Mordred learned that the Kybuck Clan were truly as powerful as Darth Jadus had told them. For now, Team SHDW would wait until Cinder puts her plan into motion. When the time was right, Team SHDW would prepare for the arrival of Darth Jadus.
