Immediately after Ruby's attack, Cinder was thrown off the CCT Tower. The wounds she sustained were substantial. Her left arm had been blasted off and she suffered third degree wounds on her face and body. Though her Maiden powers remained, her body was physically damaged. All Cinder could do was drag herself away from the ruins of Beacon. As she crawled away, Darth Jadus loomed above her.

Darth Jadus: Look what has become of you, Cinder Fall. All that power and yet you fail.

Cinder could not find the strength to speak. She raised her hand to attack Jadus with her Maiden powers, but she could not find the strength to do so as her wounds were far too great. Darth Jadus showed no remorse towards her. It wasn't long before Team SHDW appeared before the Sith Lord.

Darth Jadus: Were you followed?

Mordred: No, Lord Jadus. We managed to slip away under the guise of aiding the school. The evacuations are nearly complete.

Darth Jadus: Very good, Mordred de Sable. You and your team have served me well.

Mordred's attention soon fell on the wounded Cinder. Cinder looked upon them with hatred and contempt in her right eye.

Mordred: What shall we do with this one, Lord Jadus?

Darth Jadus: Look upon her, Mordred. Look upon the face of a broken slave who craves power. But despite her best efforts, she remains only a slave unworthy of true power. No matter how much power she acquires, it will never truly elevate her to what she desires. She is destined to fail. It would be a mercy to put her out of her misery.

Before the Sith Lord or Team SHDW could move in on the wounded Cinder, Emerald and Mercury arrived. Seeing Darth Jadus and Team SHDW moving in on her, Emerald aims Thief's Respite at the Sith Lord.

Emerald: Don't take another step!

Mercury: You heard the lady, Jadus. She's serious.

Neither Darth Jadus or Team SHDW showed any concern. As Team SHDW readied their weapons, Darth Jadus gestured them to halt. He then turns his attention to Cinder.

Darth Jadus: The Dark Side will devour those who lack the power to control it. It's a fierce storm of emotion that annihilates anything in its path. It lays waste to the weak and unworthy. But those who are strong can ride the storm winds to unfathomable heights. They can unlock their true potential; they can sever the chains that bind them; they can dominate the world around them. Only those with the power to control the Dark Side can ever truly be free. That is what separates me from you. Where you have failed, I have triumphed. You may have acquired the powers of the Fall Maiden, but I have the ultimate power that dwarves yours. I have fear by my side. I have struck fear in the hearts of all who witnessed my power. Unlike you, I bear no wounds from this battle. Your arrogance has led you here. Your arrogance will be your downfall. I have studied you, and found nothing but weakness. This weakness is a taint on the Dark Side.

Emerald and Mercury prepared to fight Darth Jadus, despite knowing there was no chance that they could kill him. They had witnessed his mastery of the Dark Side. They saw what he was truly capable of. Fear crippled them as Darth Jadus moved towards them. He then gazed upon Cinder.

Darth Jadus: You are nothing. All you are is a broken slave who's desire for power has left your body broken. Killing you would be an act of mercy. I should put you out of your misery.

Darth Jadus then lifted Cinder with the Force. Darth Jadus then activated his Lightsaber and raised it up to her neck. Emerald and Mercury were frozen in fear. Their bodies froze in place. They were all at his mercy.

Darth Jadus: But that would be too easy.

Darth Jadus then lets Cinder's broken body drop to the ground. Emerald and Mercury rushed to her side.

Darth Jadus: I allow you to live only so that you may report your failure to your master. I will watch as your slaves deliver your broken body to her. I will watch as you reap your failures. Now go.

Emerald and Mercury began carrying Cinder's broken body to a nearby transport ship that had been abandoned.

Mordred: Why didn't you kill her, Lord Jadus?

Darth Jadus: Because that would be too quick. She must learn her place.

Mordred: I could've killed you for her, master. Her and her underlings.

Darth Jadus: Patience, Mordred. As expendable as they are, they are useful pawns. They serve their purpose for the time being. The day will come when they outlive their purpose. When that day comes, they will die. But it is not this day. Mordred. Take your team on one of the evacuation ships. Evacuate from Beacon with the others. I will contact you when the time comes. Go.

Mordred: As you wish, Lord Jadus. We will await your word.

Mordred and the rest of Team SHDW bowed to Darth Jadus and proceeded to find an evacuation ship and managed to get out of Beacon. Darth Jadus reveled in the chaos and fear that lingered in this place. He looked upon the Wyvern that was frozen in stone. He took great interest in it. With that, Darth Jadus departed from Beacon. But this was only the beginning.
