In the aftermath of Beacon's fall, the Kybuck Clan prepared for their next move. They soon learned that Ruby along with the remainder of Team JNPR would embark on a mission to Haven to follow the trail of Cinder. They also learned that Weiss and Blake had departed from Vale.

Katooni: I'm going to help Ruby and the others track down Cinder.

Petro: Is that right? Well I guess that means I'm going with you.

Katooni: I appreciate it, but this is something I have to do on my own. The Force is guiding me to this moment.

Petro: What about the rest of us?

Gungi: <I need to find Yang. I failed her. The Life Debt I've sworn to her demands that I make amends to that.>

Byph: What happened to Yang wasn't your fault, Gungi.

Gungi: <That is irrelevant in this moment. What matters is that I make this failure right. I swore to be by Yang's side no matter what and I failed her. I must make this right!>

Byph: You won't go on that road alone, Gungi.

Gungi accepted Byph's invitation. At this point, Professor Huyang joined the conversation.

Huyang: I will remain here in Vale for the time being to assist in repairing the damaged done in the attack. With luck, we should be able to repair most of the damage.

Ganodi: What about the Wyvern?

Huyang: That is a a rather odd situation. While the Wyvern is incased in stone, there are still life signs coming from the Wyvern.

Upon hearing that, the Kybuck Clan were shocked.

Ganodi: How is that possible?

Huyang: I'm not sure. There's no recorded Force ability with that kind of power. Whatever it is, it is unlike anything I've ever encountered and I've seen plenty.

At this point, it became clear to the Kybuck Clan that Ruby was something else. While she held no connection to the Force, Ruby still possessed a great power they don't yet understand. Katooni and Petro had witnessed this power firsthand and still couldn't explain exactly what it was.

Petro: With power like that, Ruby's bound to attract a lot of attention.

Katooni: Including Darth Jadus. Which means Ruby could be in extreme danger.

Zatt: If we're going to fight Darth Jadus, we're going to need all the help we can get, including all of Team RWBY.

Ganodi: Since Gungi and Byph are going to Yang and you're helping Ruby, Zatt and I will track down Blake. We got a few good ideas about where she could be heading.

Petro: So that leaves the princess to me? Well isn't that just lovely. Oh how the Force works in mysterious ways.

Petro was not looking forward to having to try to convince Weiss to come back to the fight. Soon enough, they all remembered where Weiss was going as well as Ironwood's warnings.

Petro: And of course it's in Atlas. The princess is one thing, but that bastard Ironwood is going to be a serious pain. Ah Sithspit!

Katooni: Then that's about it. Our paths must now diverge. But we will reunite until the time is right. May the Force be with us.

With that, the Kybuck Clan began gathering their supplies and prepared for their separate journeys. As they began their journeys, Petro stayed behind with Katooni.

Petro: Been a hell of a ride so far, hasn't it, Katooni?

Katooni: You could say that again. Hard to believe we've made it this far with all that's happened.

Petro: Yet we're still here. That says it all. You're gonna need me on this one, Katooni.

Katooni: I'll be fine, Petro.

Petro: Just be careful, okay?

Katooni smiled upon hearing Petro's words. As she finished packing, she gave him a hug which made him blush. She then gave Petro a kiss on the cheek. Despite being a blushing mess, Petro kept his cool.

Petro: May the Force be with you.

Katooni: Goodbye Petro. May the Force be with you.

In that moment, the Kybuck Clan would go their separate ways for now. They would follow the will of the Force. Despite being separated, the Kybuck Clan were not alone as they had the Force by their side and were confident that they unite once more. Meanwhile in the Land of Darkness, Salem reflects on her victory at Beacon.

Salem: A smaller, more honest soul... It's true that a simple spark can ignite hope, breathe fire into the hearts of the weary. The ability to derive strength from hope is undoubtedly mankind's greatest attribute. Which is why I will focus all of my power...to snuff it out. How does it feel, knowing that all of your time and effort has been for nothing? That your guardians have failed you? That everything you've built will be torn down before your very eyes? Your faith in mankind was not misplaced. When banded together, unified by a common enemy, they are a noticeable threat. But divide them, place doubt into their minds, and any semblance of power they once had will wash away. Of course, they won't realize it at first. Like you, they'll cling to their fleeting hope, their aspirations. But this is merely the first move. So you send your guardians, your Huntsmen and Huntresses, and when they fail and you turn to your smaller soul, know that you send her to the same pitiful demise. This is the beginning of the end, Ozpin... And I can't wait to watch you burn.

As Salem gloats in her victory, Darth Jadus walks into the room. Darth Jadus remained silent as he reflected on his own victory. He cared little for Salem and her motives. They were nothing to him. In his mind, Salem and her allies were mere stepping stones to his own ascension. Like in the days of the Old Republic, Darth Jadus would work behind the scenes, only appearing when it fits his goals. To Darth Jadus, Remnant was an opportunity he would exploit.
