The Kybuck Clan Volume III (RWBY X Star Wars)

Chapter Nine - PVP

The Kybuck Clan soon made their way to the Amity Colosseum where they sat to Team RWBY and Team JNPR. They watched as Pyrrha and Penny made their way to the Biome. 

Petro: This should be an interesting fight. I wonder how this Penny girl is gonna stack up against Pyrrha. 

Ruby: Maybe she'll surprise us just like you did! 

Petro smirked as he recalled his fight with Pyrrha. He remembered lasting longer than anyone else. 

Nora: Don't sleep on Pyrrha! Penny's gonna need to give everything she's got!

Everyone watched as Pyrrha and Penny readied themselves for the match. Meanwhile in the shadows, Darth Jadus watched the crowd cheer for Pyrrha and Penny. He watched as Pyrrha and Penny prepared to fight one another. He was then approached by Emerald and Mercury. 

Mercury: Come for the show? 

Darth Jadus: This is a pivotal moment in your world's history. The illusion of peace shall at last be destroyed. 

Emerald: Don't forget who's responsible for this, Jadus.

Darth Jadus ignored Emerald's words as the match was underway. As Team RWBY and Team JNPR cheered, Katooni began to feel lightheaded. She could feel a dark presence looming over her. 

Petro: Hey, are you all right?

Katooni: I sense....a great darkness. I sense...the Dark Man. 

Petro: Come to think of it, I'm sensing something weird too.

As the fight began, it started off as a regular match. Penny used her Semblance to summon Floating Array to her side. Pyrrha was able to hold her own against Penny's Semblance. The fight between Pyrrha and Penny was intense. While everyone else was enjoying the fight, the Kybuck Clan became deeply concerned by Katooni's words. Something was deeply wrong, yet they couldn't pinpoint it. 

Zatt: I'm not seeing anything. 

Ganodi: Is it possible that the Dark Man is here?

Katooni: He has to be. The darkness is nearby, but everything is clouded. 

Gungi: <If he's here, everyone could be in danger! We have to warn them!>

Byph: Gungi's right! We can't just let this happen when we can do something about it!

Katooni: If we do that, we could create panic. That might be what the Dark Man wants.

Petro: If we don't do anything, something bad could happen. 

During the fight, Emerald and Mercury worked from behind the scenes to ignite a powder keg. Emerald manipulates the fight and uses her Hallucination Semblance to trick Pyrrha's mind. Pyrrha used her Polarity Semblance to block Penny's attack, but uses far too much and inadvertently dismembers Penny with the wires from Floating Array. The crowd was in shock. Pyrrha was horrified. 

Petro: What the hell?! 

The scene revealed that Penny was in fact a Droid. The Kybuck Clan were shocked at the realization while Ruby dropped to her knees in a state of intense sorrow. 

Ruby: Penny.....no....

uddenly, the monitor showing the fight begins to flicker. Soon, a broadcast was shown with Cinder Fall speaking.

Cinder(Broadcast): This is not a tragedy. This was not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust, your safety, your children, to men who claim to be our guardians, but are, in reality, nothing more than men. Our Academies' Headmasters wield more power than most armies, and one was audacious enough to control both. They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here? One nation's attempt at a synthetic army, mercilessly torn apart by another's star pupil. What need would Atlas have for a soldier disguised as an innocent little girl? I don't think the Grimm can tell the difference. And what, I ask you, is Ozpin teaching his students? First a dismemberment, now this? Huntsmen and Huntresses should carry themselves with honor and mercy, yet I have witnessed neither. Perhaps Ozpin felt as though defeating Atlas in the Tournament would help people forget his colossal failure to protect Vale when the Grimm invaded its streets. Or perhaps this was his message to the tyrannical dictator that has occupied an unsuspecting kingdom with armed forces. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue as to who is right and who is wrong. But I know the existence of peace is fragile, and the leaders of our kingdoms conduct their business with iron gloves. As someone who hails from Mistral, I can assure you the situation there is...equally undesirable. Our Kingdoms are on the brink of war, yet we, the citizens, are left in the dark. So I ask you: When the first shots are fired...who do you think you can trust?

As the broadcast ended, an uneasy silence was felt. The silence was broken by an wailing alarm.

Warning Announcer: Alert. Incoming Grimm attack. Threat level: Nine. Please seek shelter in a calm and orderly manner.

With that, panic began to set through the arena. In an attempt to calm the crowd, Ironwood addresses the crowd.

Ironwood: Ladies and gentlemen, please. There is no need for panic.

As Ironwood said that, a large Nevermore appears atop the arena's domed force field and lets out several deafening screeches as it claws and pecks at the defense with its beak. 

Katooni: We need to evacuate the colosseum now! 

Petro: Looks like whatever's happening, it's big! 

Zatt: Petro's right. Vale could be under attack. We need to get to Ozpin! 

With that, the Kybuck Clan rushed to the announcer's room to alert Ozpin. As chaos and panic began to set, Darth Jadus watched it with a deep satisfaction. 

Darth Jadus: So it begins...the beginning of the end....

Darth Jadus left the area among the crowd to his own devices. In that moment, an invasion of Vale was underway and the Kybuck Clan ready themselves for the fight of their lives.
