Dreams

In my dreams,
I see a vast place.
I sunlight shoots out beams,
but I'm unable to see any face.

I feel the warm sun as I stare out,
surrounding me are mountains wide.
Finding endless stairs that I doubt,
I walk for miles till I feel like I died.

I sit on the ground,
to find a village of stone.
I walk around, not hearing a sound.
Not even seeing a bone.

There were items still there,
there memories lied within the houses.
I could feel sadness and how it felt unfair.
I saw women crying next to their fallen spouses.

Warm food sat on the table.
I ate it slowly,
feeling a bit unstable I fall.
But I don't hit the floor,
instead I fall through, into darkness.
I fall until it becomes a bore.

Light surrounds me,
the smell of lilac comes.
Close to me I see a bee,
and the beginning of drums.

I hear my name being called out,
I turn around to see who.
But all I hear are shouts,
I didn't know who,
I didn't have a clue.

Until I awoke,
to find my mom yelling my name.
Realizing it was a dream, I spoke.
"What a shame."
