Books

Colors of covers,
different writing for each.
Each one tells a story,
that may touch and reach.

A book can take you anywhere,
whether it's a castle or an abandoned park.
Your book could be about anything.
Your book could be your chance to embark,
into a better life than what you have.

A good book can help you escape.

Escape what?
I'm not so sure.
We all have different reasons for why we read.

You may read because you like to read,
or you may read because it blinds you.
Their story makes you free,
it gives you hours away from the world you knew.

You're now in someone else's story,
even if it's beyond gory.
We all love a good story.
