Poetry of sorts

Thanksgiving

                              Today is 11/26/2020
  
I'm just writing the date for people that may read this later.

                         
Tonight is the end of this thankful day.
I hope yours was okay,
I hope nothing went astray.

But other than that,
I hope your day was filled with joy!

Sadly with this interesting year,
some of our family couldn't join us.
I hope you still had cheer,
for this bad year is almost clear.

For this happy holiday,
we give thanks to all that we have.
Even if the clouds are gray for this day,
we're thankful for all that we were given.

I'm thankful for my family,
friends and more.
I'm happy there hasn't been a calamity,
and we were able to find everything at the store.

I'm glad I've meet great people in my life,
and that they've cared for me like I have for them.

There's so many things,
that we may not realize we're grateful for.
Even if we think it's a bore,
our parents do more than chores.

Let's not forget the food,
the wonderful tasty food.

From the warm sweet potato's with marshmallows,
to the delicious stuffing.
There's no bluffing,
my craving for stuffing.

Either way I'll ask you these questions,

What food do you absolutely love and adore?

What are you thankful for?
