Just a little bit of a heads up in advance, this story is kind of more so like a journal of my feelings, thoughts, and opinions so each entry/chapter will probably be about something different.

Today's entry is gonna have a slight turn of events in the topics. I just want to talk about music today.

For me, music is one of the most important things in my life. I can't speak for the rest of us but I will more than gladly speak for myself.

Music is the one thing that is always able to tell how I feel and explain my feelings when I'm unable to do so myself. It's a universal language of melodies and lyrics. So many different genres, different artists. Everyone has their own personal preference as to which genres and artists they seem to connect with the most, so to each their own.

If I had ONE major tip to give anyone who may ask me how I've found the artists and genres of music that I listen to, it would be to find music that you relate to. Songs will always feel much more personal when they are more relatable, songs that kind of explain your feelings without you even realizing it. Small things like that with music has helped me more than anything.

Just in case any of you may have been wondering, yes, I have found the artists whose music I tend to relate to and connect with the most. When you relate to their music, you're able to have a better connection to that artist themselves. Now, it may or may not be highly obvious who the artists I connect with the most are: Harry Styles being the main one. But among him are also Louis Tomlinson, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift. I also love Liam, Niall, and Zayn but, I haven't found myself reaching for their music as often anymore. I haven't been connecting with their music as well recently.

The art that is music is such a massive universal language that a vast majority of us actually tend to turn to it as an escape. If you're a really big music person like me as well, you may even find yourself picking up an instrument or two. Learning how to play something is also a little hobby that gives you a bit of an extra escape from reality. For me, I have played the piano/keyboard and I used to play the guitar when I was younger as well.

I will openly admit that it has been quite a hot minute since I have last played an instrument but I LOVED playing keys. Learning how to play some of my favorite songs was one of my favorite hobbies. It's something that I used to be so passionate about that I did it so often and pushed myself TOO hard trying to learn how to play some songs that I would get way too frustrated with myself because I felt almost like I was never going to get it right, so I had to step away from it. That was almost two years ago I think and I haven't touched a keyboard or piano since.

If I could, I would most likely look back into getting a new keyboard and relearning how to play again. It is very time consuming and difficult to learn how to play, but it can also be very enjoyable if you put your heart into it. Same with the guitar or any other instrument for that matter. Don't let frustration drive you away from music, you'll regret it. Just give it time. Sometimes we just need a breather from it and to come back to it later.

I'm going to post a song for yall to go listen to on here today :)

p.s. it's one of my favorites at the moment! the audio should be in the media above.
