I ended up not getting to bed until 12:45 last night because Jayce had a lot of questions and some of them were the easiest for that assignment. When my alarm went off I contemplated just shutting it off and going back to sleep, but remembering that I have a huge test for Math and it could only be taken today.
Getting out of bed I did my usual routine and then headed to school. I was a little early since it only took me ten minutes to get showered and dressed when it usually takes me twenty minutes. When I got to school I went straight to my locker and got my stuff for my morning classes and then headed to Chases locker. We had formed a habit that we, as in the boys that sit with me at the table during lunch, would meet at our lockers and hangout until the first bell rang signaling homeroom was starting in five minutes.
When I got to Chases locker I saw Zack, Chase and Jayce standing there already talking. It seemed like they were having a serious conversation so I decided that me being me I was going to interrupt it. “Hey guys!” I say to them as I walk over and hug everyone there except Jayce.”
“Hey why don’t I get a hug?” asked Jayce.
“Because I don’t want to give you a hug, is there a problem with that?” I reply. Jayce ignored me and started a conversation with Zack.
“So did you just get here or? Chase asked nervously.
“I just walked up so don’t worry I did not here any of your conversation.” He looked relieved when I told him that I did not hear their conversation.
“Ok, how was your night” He asked.
“Fine, yours?” I said looking over to Jayce only to find him already staring intensely at me.
“Not very exciting.” Chase said.
“Chantelle! Chantelle!” I hear someone yelling my name down the hall.
“Yes?” I ask a guy with short black hair and green eyes that matched perfectly with his olive skin tone.
“I was wondering if you were busy tonight?”
“I’m sorry but I have something planned.” I had a match tonight against some girl named Melissa.“Oh, okay.” The guy said looking down at the floor. I kind of felt bad for saying no because it was obvious that he wanted to hang out with me after school. The bell for homeroom rang and all of us dispersed heading to our next classes.
