We're All Together In This

+Taehui POV+

You don't really leave his side. Why should you? It's because of you he's in this state.
The girls stay with you whenever they can and you appreciate it.
You've told them about the note.
"What are you gonna do?" Jennie asks, worried just like you.

"I'm not sure. I mean what am I meant to do? I can't accept his affection...it's too dangerous. I don't want to reject him though." You sigh in frustration and place your head in your hands.

"....Taehui?"
Your head snaps up and and you stare at the bed with wide eyes.
Jungkook's warm brown eyes are staring back.
(Btw I'm only assuming his natural eye colour is brown it's not that it's actually brown😌)

It feels like a huge weight off your shoulder.
You smile and lean closer to him.

+Jungkook POV+

As I open my eyes light invades my sight.
Light overwhelms me and it takes a little while to adjust to.
Then I hear Taehui's voice.
Her beautiful voice...
"....Taehui?"

She turns around to my bed side and and is staring over me.
The light behind her makes her look like an angel.
I smile slightly as she smiles at me.
"How are you feeling?" She asks softly, stroking my hair.
I grin and she suddenly seems to realise what she's doing and moves her hand away.

I pout, not wanting to let go, and grab her hand again.
Her eyes snap up and she's shocked.
The girls sense you two need alone time and leave the room with an excuse you two pretend to buy.

+Taehui POV+

As soon as the door closes you turn back to Jungkook.

"We need to talk." He says simply and you gulp down your anxiety.
The way he's looking at you is sending nervous waves through you.
You clear your throat and start to squirm under his gaze.
He eyes the note he wrote and your gaze goes to it too.

"Did...did you read it?" He asks quietly and you start to fiddle.
Do I want you to know I read it?
You decide honesty is the best way to go.
"Yes. I read it. I'm sorry if I wasn't supposed to..." you admit and he remains calm.
"It's ok you don't need to apologise. I'd rather you knew anyway." He says and you feel awkward as he watches you.

His intensity is almost stifling.
You squirm and struggle to keep eye contact with him.
You clear your throat.
"Um. I should probably...get going." You say awkwardly.

+Jungkook POV+

I can't let her go like this without having said it out loud!
I can't.

"Taehui."
She spins around and waits for me to speak with a curious expression.

"....I love you."

...
...
...
...

She slowly turns back around.
And continues walking.
"Taehui! I love you!" I yell out after her and she keeps on walking.
"Taehui! Yah! Kim Taehui!" I keep yelling and it doesn't make her stop.
"Taehui...." Tears start to form in my eyes and my voice starts to break.

She stops.
She spins around and runs back to my bed.
She then hugs me gently.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset." She apologises and strokes my hair.
My expression is blank when she lets go from the hug.
"Why ignore me?" I ask, truly curious.
"I wanted to make you squirm a little." She admits and we both chuckle.

"Ah. You haven't said it back." I point out and she shrugs.
"What? No Taehui say it back." I say and she kisses me on the forehead and starts to walk to the door.
"Taehui! Say it back!" I call out and she waves a hand without looking back and leaves the room.
I scoff and cross my arms.
"This girl. I can't believe she didn't say it!" I exclaim.

Suddenly the door opens and a grinning Taehui yells,
"JUNGKOOK I LOVE YOU!"
before closing the door and leaving again.

I laugh at her cuteness and my heart almost swells with happiness at her words.

I can't stop grinning and when my hyungs come in I can't wipe the grin off my face.

"What's got you grinning so widely?" Namjoon hyung asks while smiling.
"Nothing." I say casually.
He chuckles at my obvious lie but lets it go.
"So. I saw Taehui coming from this direction..." Jimin hyung says and I suddenly start to blush.
"Y-yeah she left like a minute or so ago." I say, trying to stay casual

Suddenly the hyungs share a look and I start to realise that they heard.
Her shout was hardly quiet.
I face palm myself and they laugh.
"You all heard huh?" I ask and they nod.
"Aishh. Well at least now I know." I say, feeling smug.
They grin back at me.
"We're very happy for you Kookie." Hobi hyung says, his face radiating happiness.
"Taehui loves me." I say out loud and they chuckle because I can't stop grinning.

Taehui loves me. She loves me.
It's so good to know how she feels.

+Taehui POV+

You've told the girls what happened in Jungkook's room.
They're surprised yet happy for you.
"So Hyunjin is out of the equation?" Jennie asks and you sigh.
"Yeah. I don't think we'd have lasted anyway." You admit and they respect your decision.
"You really screamed Jungkook I love you?" Jisoo asks and you all giggle.
"Ugh shut up! It might be cheesy but it's true." You say and they giggle.

"How did he react?" Lisa asks you eagerly and you shrug.
"I wouldn't know. I ran after I screamed I love you" you say, earning chuckles from the girls.
"I'm sure he'll bring it up the next time he sees you." Jennie seems amused.
"I can't wait to see that." She says, emphasis on that.
You blush and they laugh.

"What's so funny?" A familiar voice asks from behind you
Your stomach drops and you have an attack of nerves.
"Taehui?" His voice is closer and your heart feels like it's about to jump out of your chest.
You slowly turn around and face Hyunjin.
He's curious and expectant.
You gulp slightly and the girls make up an excuse and leave the room.

"Are you gonna tell me what was so funny or?" He asks, waiting patiently.
You sigh and decide the best way to tell him is just to get it out there.
"Um...earlier this afternoon...I confessed to Jungkook..." you say slowly and awkwardly.
Hyunjin remains calm.
"I guess I brought it on myself right? Working with your dad...of course you wouldn't be able to like me." He admits and you feel your stomach drop even further.

"Hyunjin I-" you start but he stops you.
"Dont. Don't tell me that it's him." He says, voice harsh.
You drop your gaze to the floor.
You see his feet move closer and his hand reaches up to move your chin up to look at him.
"Give me one minute."
"What?" You question, beyond confused.
"Give me one minute. One minute to make you forget him. To persuade you to choose me." He explains and your eyes nearly fly out of your sockets.

"You'll find I can be very persuasive..." he whispers while leaning in towards you.
You squirm and move away from him.
He grabs your wrist, his eyes pleading.
"Let go Hyunjin." You say, heart hammering.
"No. Please just give me one minute. One minute to show you why you should choose me." He pleads with you and you gulp at the intensity in his eyes.
"Hyunjin I-" you begin to protest but before you know it....
