Connor Kent, Kon-El, or subject 13, is a made-up superhero cross breed clone with Superman and Lex Luthor's DNA, dreamt up by Karel Kesel and Tom Grummett, the original creators of superboy.
In Titans, the DC Comics television series, the backstory explains how Lex Luthor figured out how to combine and genetically alter a test tube experiment with the superpowers of superman while giving him the intelligence of Lex Luthor.
Connor displays behaviors of both his fathers, some good and some bad. He is seen as childish to the unfamiliar world and causes a mess when he discovers the busy city around him.
His strengths are his powers, but they can also be weaknesses when he doesn't understand right from wrong in a scenario. Connor Kent is a grown teenage boy with the proficiency of a child, although, at times, he possessed artificial knowledge.
Initially, he was a part of the Teen Titans but moved on to joining the Justice League and many other related teams.
Connor possesses mainly Kryptonian powers but also has Telekinetic and Telepathic capabilities.
Connor is not a well-known superhero, which is why I would like to take this time to pay tribute to the fantastic, cloned superman that is the boy of steel. He's super that is mostly overlooked because he's genetically altered, but is most extraordinary, especially in science, and has me thinking about real science and the first genetically modified human, whether it's with CRISPR or a bacteria that destroys a part of human genes and changes it completely, or science takes alternative routes to alter DNA.
I hope, shortly in the future, there is a superhero like Connor Kent to look up to during hard times. Someone committed and loyal while serving this country with inhuman capabilities and also a much more prosperous world.
