Chapter 13

‘Seven minutes till midnight’ Dani thought as she ran into her room and grabbed her overnight bag. “MUM! You have to drive me to Julian’s!” she yelled. Today was a long day. She had school until 3pm and went straight to work. She didn't finish work until 11.30pm and so she had to get to Julian’s house as quickly as possible.

‘Where’s Dani?’ Julian thought as he waited. She never missed the countdown to midnight and there was only five minutes left.

“Come on mum, there’s only two minutes left! Can’t you drive any faster?”

“We’re almost there Dani! We’ll be there in 20 seconds. Calm down!” Dani’s mum yelled at her as she tried to calm her down.

‘One minute. Where is she?’ Julian was starting to get worried. They couldn’t break this tradition. Not this year. Not tonight.

*DING DONG* Dani rang the door bell.

“Come onnnn Julian. Answer the door!” *DING DONG*

Julian opened the door, only 10 seconds to midnight left.

“10, 9, 8” Dani began to count.

Julian was happy that Dani made it. He knew she wouldn’t let the tradition break, but it was cold outside and he was freezing. He didn't want to stand outside in nothing but his track pants. “You made it! Come-“

“Shut up! 4, 3, 2, 1. Happy Birthday babe!” she flung herself onto him, gripping him in the tightest hug, before they pulled away and he planted a kiss on her lips.

“I love you, thank you” was all Julian could say. He looked at her, examining her face. Dani’s eyes crinkled at the side and the dimples in her cheeks were deep. Her smile was bigger than he had ever seen it and he couldn’t help but smile with her.

“I love you too. Now can we please go inside because I’m freezing!” Dani was in shorts and a t-shirt, wearing what she had on at work, and they weren’t exactly warm. It was then that she really looked at Julian and realised that he was wearing nothing but his track pants, his torso exposed. She couldn’t help but stare. Obviously she had seen him shirtless before, but now she just wanted to attack him.

“Yeah, that’s what I was trying to say before! Come on lets go in,” Julian whispered. Everyone else was asleep so he tried not to wake them as he took Dani up to his room. “Jayden’s chosen to sleep with the other boys tonight so it’s just me and you in my room.”

“Well then that gives us more reason to finish where we left off the other day,” she whispered to him as they walked up the stairs. He looked back at her and gave her a smirk as she winked back at him.

They walked into his room and Dani sat on Jayden’s bed. “So, this is where I’m sleeping. Goodnight!” she joked as she lay back and closed her eyes. Julian sneakily walked up to Dani and slowly locked her legs in between his to stop her from moving. He knew her weak spots, where she was ticklish, and so without warning, he placed his hands on either side of her waist and began to tickle her. Dani got up but was unable to move. She tried to stop him with her hands as she squirmed but was unsuccessful.

“Julian! Oh my- Hahaha stop it! I can’t- Hahaha, Julian!” she yelled, laughing after every couple of words.

“Shhhhh! You’ll wake everyone up!” He whispered, still tickling her.

“I’m going to kill- Hahaha, stop it! Oh my god, stop!” She couldn’t control herself.

Julian stopped tickling her, only because she was too loud, and picked her up and walked over to his bed. He laid her body back onto the bed and put one arm on each side of her as he crawled on top, stopping where their faces meet. Dani began to stroke his bare chest with her fingers, looking up and down at his body. She loved how his body was somewhat defined, but not too muscular, and she loved that she could play with the hairs on his chest.

“You’re so sexy,” she blurted out unintentionally. Julian laughed, before lowering himself and kissing Dani softly on her lips. She immediately responded by moving her hands from his chest to his back and lifted her legs so that Julian’s body could slide between them, their hips touching. The kiss deepened even more, turning passionate, when Dani suddenly stopped.

“Wait, what are we doing? It’s YOUR birthday.”

“Yeah... exactly. I thought we were continuing where we left off the other day.” Julian questioned. He was confused as to why Dani suddenly stopped their intense make out session.

“Exactly, and the other day, if I remember correctly, I was on top of you. So let’s really continue where we left off from and I’ll give you part of your birthday present right now,” she winked at him.

Julian smirked and rolled off her, laying flat on his back on the bed. “Well then, if that’s the case, go for it.”

Dani got up off the bed, biting her bottom lip as she smiled. She looked at Julian again. Seeing him in track pants was always a turn on for her. She needed to tease him before she gave him what he wanted. Dani started to strip off her clothes, eventually standing in nothing but her underwear.

“Well shit, happy birthday to me,” Julian gulped. He had seen her in her underwear many times before, but this time it was different. Before, when they were just friends, Julian had to restrain himself from being turned on every time Dani modelled her underwear to him while changing her clothes. It reminded him of the night that everything changed for them both. However, now it was a different story. It was his birthday and she was his girlfriend. It was almost his duty to get turned on by such raw beauty. He watched her as she walked over to his wardrobe and picked out one of his t-shirts, before she placed it over her head and wore it, letting it hang like a dress.

“It’s a little cold for me to stay in my underwear, you know?” She teased him as she began to walk closer to the bed he was now sitting up on.

“Hmm, yeah. Maybe I can help you warm up a little bit,” he smiled.

As she got to the bed, Dani sat on his lap with one leg on either side of his hips, almost kneeling on top of him, “you’d like that, wouldn’t you?” she almost whispered as she stroked his back.

Julian couldn’t handle too much more of this. She was hardly teasing him, but he was so attracted to this sexy side of Dani that he had never seen before. “Yeah, I definitely would.”
