Captian (part one)

"Hello. My name is Wakatoshi Ushijima. I would like to join the Shiratorizawa boys volleyball team."

People always say when they're young that they can't see themself as a high schooler. Then again, people had always mistaken Ushijima for a high schooler, so that never really affected him.

Nonetheless he was nervous. He always had been joining a new school. He wasn't really what you'd call the friendly type. Despite what everyone thought, he wasn't a silent beast, there was no reason to be scared of him. But his whole life he was feared by his peers simply because of his height and thicker build.

That's probably why he likes volleyball so much, he can put his build to use and amaze people with his skill. Ever since he picked up a volleyball it was a dream of his to join the Shiratorizawa volleyball team, and he knew he would make it.

"Yes, of course."

A taller male with darker skin and a long-ish buzz cut that was colored light brown fiddled with papers on his desk. His blue eyes squinted at a sign up sheet before shoving it in front of Ushijima.

"Here!"

Him and his desk looked a mess as he looked up at the first year from his seat. Ushijima picked up the sign up sheet.

"Um. I need a pen."

The other boy rubbed his temples before answering.

"Right! I'll get that for you right away."

He said between his teeth. Is he okay?

"I'm Enyo Kondo, by the way."

He said, handing the other male a pen.

"I'm the captain of the volleyball team."

Ushijima didn't answer, signing the sheet and writing down his information.

"Excuse my mess, I'm usually more organized than this. The first day of school is always hectic for clubs and it doesn't help that I forgot my glasses and contacts today."

He sighed.

"Sounds like a pretty rough day."

Ushijima responded, setting the sheet and pen down onto the desk.

"Mn indeed. If you wanna get to the gym, you'll need a go all the way down the hall and then go through the doors. Keep going straight and you'll reach it eventually."

He looked in the direction he was pointing me to.

"There should be some people to greet you there."

Ushijima bowed and said a quick thank you before heading in the direction Kondo had pointed him.

"Hello, I'm Jun Tendou. I'm here to enroll my kid in the volleyball team."

A male voice said from behind him as he walked to the end of the hall. Without a second thought of who that might have been, he walked out of the doors.
