Voldemort does not have a nose. I repeat, Voldemort does not have a nose. As I sit here and watch Dumbledore fight Voldemort, all that is crossing my mind is that he does not appear to have a nose. I should be scared for my life now, but I am too busy laughing inside because he doesn't have a nose. As I was stuck in this dilemma, I did not seem to notice that Voldemort breathed out fire, which quickly took the form of a gigantic snake. His laughter covered the sound of everything in the room, which sent chills down my spine. Dumbledore's face looked frightened but was soon covered up with bravery as he battled the fiery snake. Water then covered Voldemort as Dumbledore swished it to him from a stone pond.
Harry started to stand next to Professor Dumbledore with his hand still gripping my hand, which got me into this mess in the first place. Dumbledore used wand-less magic to push Harry and me back away from him, most likely knowing that the force field of water would not hold Voldemort much longer. Moments later, I noticed I was right; the water globe broke, and Voldemort landed gracefully on the ground while pointing his wand at Dumbledore. Black magic came from his wand while Dumbledore blocked it with what seemed like a blue force field. Harry grabbed my face and kissed me, a short but meaningful kiss.
"Whatever happens, just know that I will always love you," Harry whispers in my ear, then turns back to watch the duel between Voldemort and Dumbledore,
Voldemort must have noticed our loving encounter, and it must have made him a bit mad or bloody furious. He soon pulled back his black magic and yelled at the top of his lungs. The glass windows in the ministry shattered, which caused Dumbledore, Harry, and I to duck in cover. The shuddering of the glass could probably be heard throughout the ministry. Dumbledore, Harry, and I looked up to notice the glass shards start flying towards us. Dumbledore quickly pulled out his wand, and a blue force field was placed in front of us, causing the glass to turn into dust when passed through the blue magic.
Dumbledore stood up along with Harry, who pulled me up by my hand, but he still had yet to let go of me. Voldemort's face soon fell, and he had a look of defeat in his eyes, but then something changed. He used the black and grey dust to disappear. I let out a breath I was holding, thinking that he was all over, but something told me I had false hope. The dust from the shards of glass started to move and was getting closer and closer to us. Harry then grunted in pain and fell to the floor, bringing me down with him. Dumbledore turned around and noticed Harry on the ground, groaning in pain. The professor soon got down on his hands and knees to get a good look at the pained face of my beloved Harry.
"Lily, get away from him," Dumbledore told me while holding his hand for me to grab. I shook my head no as I started to rub my thumb on Harry's soft but dirty hands. Harry was finally done grunting in pain, which gave me a great time to check to see if he was alright. The green eyes I fell in love with are now replaced with white. He looked so different, and I could feel tears slip down my cheeks.
Another agonizing grunt came from Harry as he moved around in total pain. I could feel more tears coming from my eyes. Harry's breaths are forced and shallow; I gave a pleading look to Dumbledore so he could do something to help Harry with his pain.
"Harry," Dumbledore spoke quietly in a calm voice, almost like a whisper, while putting out his hand to help him, but Harry started grunting in pain once again. Harry tried to let go of my hand, but I kept a tight grip, not allowing him to let go. "Harry, it isn't how you are alike; it's how you are not."
Watching him in pain killed me inside. Harry shouts out in pain while trying to push himself up with his arms but then falls back down on the floor.
"I love you, Harry; you can't give up; our life is ahead of us. I know you are strong enough to fight this." I say with my voice scratchy voice from crying.
At the corner of my eye, I noticed Mione, Ron, Ginny, Luna, and Neville enter, and they looked shocked at what they saw. Harry starts thrashing about being in pain again, and I look back at Hermione to know that she is looking at me with a sad look. I am taken back to look at Harry when I hear Him start to speak.
"You're the weak one, and you'll never know love or friendship, and I feel sorry for you," Harry said before thrashing in pain again.
Harry finally fell on his back, and the same black and grey dust Voldemort used to disappear game rose out of Harry's chest. The dust covered Harry and me like a cylinder dome. A flapping of a robe caused me to look up and notice Voldemort standing in front of Harry, and I looked down at him with disgust in his eyes. His wand was held in his pale, bony hands, and fear flashed through me.
"You are a fool, Harry Potter." Voldemort spoke as if he meant for it to be a whisper. "and you will lose everything."
After Voldemort said everything, he looked straight at me. He pointed his wand at me and used the Cruciatus curse. I tried to hold in my scream so I couldn't give him the pleasure of my pain, but I couldn't hide it. My cry was so loud that it made my ears ring, but that didn't bother me; what bothered me was that my body felt like it was on fire, and I was burning from the inside out. The pain suddenly stopped, and I could finally breathe, but my breathing was forced and quick. The Ministry came through the fireplace to notice Voldemort had returned, but soon enough, he escaped.
"He's back." That was all that Cornelius Fudge could say.
My eyes were getting droopy, and it was hard for me to keep them open. I was now in Dumbledore's arms with my head on Harry's chest. I could feel everyone slowly walking towards us. I looked over to Harry and then up at Dumbledore. My head was pounding, and my eyes were now impossible to keep open.
"Professor, Love does conquer all." Is that the last thing I say before I let the darkness take me over?
