I love everything about my home. The wide, open space, the forest nearby, the animals who visit everyday. Nature loves me and I love nature. I can coax a deer out into the open and the forest is where I always feel safe. It has given me everything I need in life.
Tomorrow I shall turn sixteen. I never ask for much. A simple outdoor party with friends, family, and of course nature. "Mom I'm excited for my party tomorrow!" I say. "Of course you are, my dear child." she replied, a bit sadly.
"Are you sad about something?"
"No, it's nothing."
I don't believe her.
"Just tell me what's wrong."
"It's just... you're growing so fast, Rose."
I give her a look of sympathy. I walk over and hug her. "I'll always love you, Mom." I say quietly. "I will too, my little flower."

"Hey Rose, excited for the party later?" asked Charity, my best friend since a child.
"Of course I am!" I say, enthusiastically.
"Who's on the list?"
"Kimberly, Amy, Peter, Manny, Will, and you of course."
"Oooooh, Peter!"
"He's our friend too!"
"Righhht. Kissin' at 15 is a friendly move, according to you." Charity says with a smirk. I sigh. A few months earlier, Peter had kissed me, which shows his motives weren't to just be friends with me. I have to admit, he is kinda handsome and I guess I like him too. But I'm not gonna make it official. Not just yet.
