Chapter 5

Once I come home, I go to bed. I have a dream....

I'm running. As fast I can. Something is chasing me through the forest. I hold a bow made of wood and a quiver filled with stone-tipped arrows. I trip over something. I'm lying on the ground. I see my wand in front of me. I reach for it. Something steps on it and snaps it in half. My wand was my last hope. I look up to face what was standing in front of me. It's a ....

I wake up. I check my clock. 6am. I lie down on my bed. What did that dream mean?

I've been meeting Anna everyday at 5pm for about a month now. I'm becoming more and more powerful. At one point, I wanted to summon a dinosaur, but Anna said it would not be a good idea.

One day my friends all confronted me at my locker. "Where have you been?" Amy asks. "You've stopped talking to us for a month." says Will. "Are you hanging out with other people?" Charity says, looking hurt. "I- I uhh..." I try to think of an answer. I couldn't just say I'm an Earth Mage and I've been practicing magic for the last month. They won't believe me. They would think I'm lying. They all shake their heads. Charity says,"When you wanna tell us something, you know where to find us." They all walk away.

As I'm leaving the school and heading to my car, Peter comes up to me. "Hey, um I don't know if this is the best time but, uh, will you be...my girlfriend?" Peter says, blushing a bit. Do I? "Sure." I say, forgetting I have a magical destiny and I can't possibly live a normal life.

"Cool." he says, as he presses his lips to mine. I've always liked how he looked like. Dark brown hair, dark blue eyes, and a smile that brightens my day. We break apart and he walks away.

Once I'm home, I look over the new spells I'm learning. Invisibility and a limited flying spell. Still basic, but I learn over time. I can't wait to learn earth manipulation. Making structures of the material on Earth. Incredible. All because I'm an Earth Mage. Welcome to the bright side of being an Earth Mage.

Like I said: short chapters. But it'll be a lot of chapters ;) I update when I can. My imagination will fail me at some point so ideas?
