Chapter 8

"It's beautiful!" I exclaim. I have a faint memory of coming to this place as child. Anna walks to the house. I follow.

Inside the house, there are three large glass statues of fire, a tree, and what I think is a waterfall. There were many plants hanging around, mini waterfalls, and fire burning inside glass globes. The house was very large.

"Since you're not supposed to be here until you're a complete elemental mage," says Anna,"We'll be here only one night while I search for a place to stay." "Okay." I replied.

"For now, stay in the living room." she directed me to the living room. It had a stone fireplace and lanterns hanging around. There was a bookcase which interested me, considering it was a magical place. I skimmed over the titles. Preserving Resources of Earth. Spells for Elemental Mages. Elemental Mages through History. That one sounded interesting. I took it from the shelf. It showed every elemental mage that existed. It was ordered by most recent to least recent.

Earth: Rose Zenemij (in training)
Water: Winter Rekam-Eohs (in training)
Fire: Christina Zurc-Acijom (in training)

I wonder how much times this book is updated. At least I know the names of the other mages. I assume they are all sixteen like me. I bet they are all safe in their own homes, fast asleep, their locations unknown, unlike me....

I decide to see the next page of the book.

Earth: Anna Seyer (Training initiate)
Water: Lina Mil (Training initiate)
Fire: Nikki Janim (Training initiate)

I'm curious to find out who're Lina and Nikki are. That's when I am realize something. The mages have to stay together even if they don't want to. They can be best friends or as mean as they can be to the others. Or maybe the mages like each other instantly like we're all sisters.

I would ask Anna but I'm extremely tired after barely getting sleep and running around at night. I put the book on the coffee table, get comfy on the sofa, and drift to sleep.
