15 years later

Levis pov

I hold the small boys hand as we walk through the quiet cemetery. It's been 15 years exactly since that day...

"Go ahead ben, go put down the flowers." He smiles and runs over as happy as ever, but i can't blame him, he doesn't understand the concept of death.

I adopted ben around 5 years ago when he was born, it took over 2 years to actually be allowed to adopt as a single parent.

I haven't dated anyone since then...

I didn't choose his name, his mother did before she passed, but his name drew me closer to him. She never gave a reason why she wanted to call him ben, but part of me thinks it was fait.

His last name was benson...

So now bens name is ben benson cat, yeah I suppose it sounds silly but I wanted ben to have a piece of Reese with him.

Reese.

I miss him every day.

"Uncle Dante!" I turn around and watch the small boy run towards the blue haired man. I smile as he picks ben up and walks towards me.

"When did you dye your hair blue?" He smiles. "Nicole said it would suit me." I nod. "She's right, it matches your personality." He chuckles and sits down on the bench.

It took me around half a year to find dante after i left kansas, but once i did we never cut contact.

"Hey ben, go pick some flowers from the bush over there." He nods at dante and runs over.

"Can i ask you something?" I look over to him and nod.

"So i know what happened to him and everything that happened before except that night."

I look at the sky and sigh. I've never told anyone about that...

Flashback

Levis pov

I stare at my shoes, not wanting to look at Micah. "Where the fuck are they?" I don't answer.

I don't even know who we're waiting for.

Moments later a car comes flying around the corner before slamming on inches away from us.

Micah straightens up and yanks me towards him while 3 guys climb out of the car. "Don't talk." I nod, not wanting to get killed.

Three men get out of the car and stand in front of us. "So, 12 men in total, is this our cover?" Micah nods. "He's as pathetic as he looks so nobody ever suspects him." I don't look up, just stare at my feet.

"How did you get him? I don't want no kidnap victim." Micah quickly defends himself.

"We didn't kidnap him, he's my brother" the 3 guys step back.

"You guys are brothers? Nah we don't work with people who are family, yall got an emotional connection or some shit. We don't usually work with other gangs. Fuck this." They go to leave bus Micah grabs his shoulder.

"No, we are only related. Id kill him myself i swear. We need this." The guy looks at him and frowns.

"Sorry dude, boss wouldn't agree." Micah lets go of his arm, knowing not to push his luck.

The moment they drive away he turns to me.

"YOU FUCKING IDIOT." I flinch and fall to the floor the second he hits me.
