Chapter Nineteen

Simons pov (Levis old gang member friend)

I smile and lean against the tree behind me. This is the second time in two months Reese has allowed me to visit their camp, not by any choice of his own.

"I'm going to head to the store, i'll be back in like 10 minutes... try not to kill each other ok?" We stand up and face him.

"I'm coming with you." Reese turns to me and glares. "No no it's fine, it's safer if i go on my own as i blend in easily. You two stay here." We both slowly sit down again allowing the small boy to wonder off alone.

I look around and sigh at the awkward tension. "So... how long have you guys been together?" He looks at me and smirks.

"Well we've been together for a little over a year now, but we've been in a relationship for over 3 months." I roll my eyes as i pick at my fingers.

"Yeah but you're not really a couple are you. I mean calling it a relationship just makes you feel better for using him for sex right?" He raises an eyebrow at me.

"What?" I shrug. "Well, two murderers on the run from the police and a gang, you can't really call that a relationship can you." He stares at me blankly.

"Levi isn't a murderer." I smirk. "So he hasn't told you about-" he quickly interrupts me.

"The boy and what micah did to him. Yeah i know, like i said it was micah that killed him not Levi." We stare at each other before i look back at my hands.

"So how long do you plan on keeping this so called relationship up." He shrugs. "Till Levi finds someone better, why?" I smile.

"Cos i'm gonna make him mine." He stops what he's doing and looks at me.

"If he chooses you then thats his decision, but just know if you try to take him from me i will kill you and feed you to pigs." I watch him for a moment, trying to figure out if he's being serious.

I push myself gently off the tree and begin to walk towards the main road without looking at him. "Have fun with the time you have Reese and tell Levi i will see him later."

Levis pov

I walk back into camp with my head down. I walk straight into the tent and grab the small first aid box before i start to wipe my face.

"What are you doing?" I look away from him as he walks over.

"Nothing nothing." He crouches down and gently takes hold of my chin before turning my face towards him. He gently glides his thumb across the cut on my cheek before pulling me up.

"Who did this?" I shrug and look down at my hands. He quickly takes both of my hands and holds them above my head with one hand and tilts my head towards him with another.

"Levi who did this." I frown. "Two guys outside of the store." He doesn't look away. "What do they look like?" I sigh. "Ones in a blue coat with a scar across his cheek and the other has bright ginger hair and is wearing a green jacket. They headed towards a red pick up truck with a sticker on the side but it didnt drive away. They said they did this as some kind of warning." He gently lets go of my hands and begins to walk away.

"Reese please don't do anything i don't want you to get hurt and-" he turns to me and smiles. "I'm not going to get hurt kitten. Have your soup, i'll be back soon ok?" I stand and watch him walk away, knowing I can't stop him. I sigh and pull out the small mirror we have in the first aid box and begin to clean my cheek and bloody nose.

please god let him be ok.

Reeses pov

I walk towards the red pick up truck and pull my hood up. I look and see the sticker on the side.

I pull out my pocket knife and begin to scratch the side of the car. I smirk at the loud noise that is quickly interrupted by another.

"HEY, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING?" I smirk at the guy in a blue coat run over with no sign of the other person.

As he reaches me i calmly grab his neck and pin him to the car, my knife gently poking him.
"Leave Levi alone." He pulls an angry face causing me to press my knife harder into his side.

"What are you gonna do if i don't? You're not the only murderer here." I smirk and gently begin to drag my knife along his chest.

"Sure but the difference is you kill people because you're ordered to, i did it for fun." His eyes widen slightly. "Blake will slit your throat when he finds out about this." I chuckle and continue to gently carve away at his stomach causing him to yell.

"God thats what all you're pathetic gang have said. Why are you all so desperate to kill Levi. Haven't you all realised i will kill you all first? I mean come on you're gang is dropping like flies. Don't you wonder why Blake has only really come to find Levi once? He doesn't care if i kill you all or not, he also doesn't care if Levi dies or not, he just wants a bit of fun." His eyes widen slightly.

I smile as i gently drag the knife to his throat. "Leave. Him. Alone." I roughly throw him to the floor before walking away.

Reeses pov

I sigh as i walk back into camp. "Kitten?" I sigh realising he probably went to bed. I yawn and throw my shoes to the side before climbing into our tent. I lie down next to him but frown once i see his face.

He's been crying.

Is it because i left him? Is he in pain? Is it because- my thoughts are quickly cut off by a sniffle.

"Levi?" I gently wrap my arms around him causing him to quickly cling to me.

"You was gone for so long I thought you got seriously hurt or-" i gently kiss him, trying to calm his nerves.

"I thought you wasn't going to return." I gently chuckle. "Well i'm fine aren't i?" He sighs and yawns.

"Please don't leave me. Ever." I watch him before kissing his head. "I wont Levi." I sigh as we lay in silence.

He knows that isn't true. One way or another fait is going to catch up to me.

I smile as i hear the small boys gently snores. God i knew from the moment i gained feelings for him that this isn't right. He's going to get hurt.

Fuck I knew i shouldn't have fallen in-love with him.
