"Hitoshi, where are we going?" you asked him. He pulled you down as he sat in the shade of a building. You followed him, crossing your legs.
"Just wanted to get away from all my classmates. It's just a bit overwhelming, all at once. But you know, I'm happy to be with them at the same time. Happy to be part of the hero course with you." He smirked at you, but you did not know what to say in response. You shivered as a cold wind blew. Even though it was a warm day, you were in the shade, so it was kind of cold, especially without your fur to keep you warm.
He must have noticed your slight tremble. "Want to use my jacket?" He offered.
"No, I'm fine. How about you give me your phone number instead?" Real smooth. That was terrible. In your mind, you slapped yourself on the face. It did not at all sound as good as it did in your head, but then again, with the school-issued phones, it was a good casual excuse. In the end, you still got your goal. You exchanged phone numbers and walked back inside when he was ready to face the crowd again. By the time you were back at your dorm, you had forgotten that Aizawa was there. He was still sleeping on your bed. You sighed, and unpacked the rest of your stuff. You got out your phone, and saw that there was already quite a few texts from Hitoshi. You plopped down on your desk and texted each other for awhile, and you almost fumbled your phone in surprise when Aizawa woke up, letting out an enormous yawn. He seemed confused as you as to why he was in your dorm.
A few students crowded around, realizing the teacher was nearby, and could answer their questions about the transfer. Aizawa put his hand on the back of his head, the motion reminding you very closely to something Hitoshi would do. "Well, you know, Mineta flunked out, and Shinsou won the festival, so I let him have the spot in class. That's all there is to it." He walked out of the room. Never had you met anyone so blunt. Without much else to do, you continued to text Hitoshi about anything and everything, how it felt to win, the excitement of transferring, how powerful and awesome his quirk was. The hours passed and you were shocked to see how late it was when someone knocked on the door. You put the phone down.
Surprise surprise, it was Mina. She was great to talk to in class, but you do not know if you could bear living with her. "April fool's!"
She touched your hair and got goo all over you. "Mina! What! Why?" You almost screamed; you had seen firsthand how powerful the gunk could be, but you realized this was just wet, and didn't burn. She just snickered and left. Was this a prank? Unlike most of Mina's acid, this was not painful or seemingly detrimental at all. It was just... goopy. You tried getting it out, but to no avail. Curses, Mina! You turned into a cat and tried licking it off, but it was so nasty, you hacked up a hairball. You curled your lip is distaste and wrinkled your nose. No matter how much you brushed against the towel, it seemed useless. Yuck... but oh well. You curled up, tired, hoping that when you woke up and it dried, it would come off much easier with a kick and a scratch or two.
You stretched. There was nasty gunk all over your body that you attempted to shake off. You were about to lick it, but the smell made you want to wince away from your own flesh. You padded through the hallway instead, knowing there was little you could do. There were loud noises coming from one direction. Intrigued, you followed them to see what was happening. There was a bunch of teenagers in one room, being loud. You left them alone. Instead, you padded through the quieter hallways, until you walked almost back to where you came from. You were startled when you saw that someone was in front of you, lurking in the dark. Cat eyes always see things in the dark, but he had been so still you hadn't noticed him until you were close, the smell of the goop tainting your senses. The figure put out a hand, and you sniffed it. Weary-eyed haired human seemed friendly. You rubbed against him. "Let's get you hidden away before a teacher kicks you out, cat." He picked you up and took you into another room. He smelled good, like trees and milky coffee. Something about the way he carried you, you knew you could trust.
