Chap 25: Back To CaiYi

Liu Yang's Pov:

The tea party was held in the back mountains of Cloud Recesses. Other disciples were welcomed to join, but the main party tried their best to keep it small.

It has been almost a year since Lan XiChen went into seclusion, he was more comfortable being among the living again.

Like Wei WuXian said, they didn't want to scare ZeWu Jun off by overwhelming him with too many people.

Those who were present though chatted idly, drank tea or played with/chased the bunnies.

("See? I told you there'd be bunnies here!" WuXian had said which Liu Yang replied with a flabbergasted look, "Why are there so many litters?!")

At first meeting, the juniors were wary of Liu Yang. Some random cultivator suddenly appears in Cloud Recesses one day, and is treated as a guest. Eventually though, they each warmed up to her and deemed her exciting to talk to.

She was more than happy to share tales of her adventures across China. They were especially fascinated with her skills and knowledge of taking down monsters. But much of her stories were shrouded in mystery.

When the party ended, Lan XiChen was the first to leave. He returned to his HanShi, but not before thanking everyone for taking time of their schedule to be with him.

("I'd drop everything I was doing just to be in your presence, ZeWu Jun." Liu Yang batted her lashes and WuXian shoved a rabbit in her face, "I said: enough!")

But everyone knew that ZeWu Jun would be better soon, when he left with an unspoken promise that he would 'heal' in time.

Those left would leave one by one after helping with the clean up. While the Lans helped with heavy-lifting (because duh, who else), Liu Yang and the others put away the tea set and cups and blankets they used.

Liu Yang yawned behind her sleeve. Clearing her throat, she turned to everyone with a deep bow of gratitude. "Thank you Master Wei WuXian for your thoughtfulness to include me in your little party."

WuXian: "Don't mention it."

Liu Yang: "Thank you HanGuang Jun and Young Master Lans for your lovely hospitality."

WangJi: "Mn."
SiZhui: "We hope you had a good stay." JingYi: "You were alright."

Liu Yang: "Thank you Young Master Jin and Young Master OuYang. I had a nice time meetting you both."

Jin Ling and ZiZhen: "Likewise."

Liu Yang was finally allowed to go back to the guest room to collect her belongings. Waves and goodbyes were exchanged, then she left Cloud Recesses and decended the mountain and made her way back to CaiYi.
