Liu Yang's Pov:

Two months later...

Life was (mostly) the same for Liu Yang. She seldom went night-hunting anymore, because Uncle Yü had given her thrice the amount of work to do after her injury was completely healed.

She didn't mind though, because that old man actually cared about her well-being, and still gave her her pay.

When it came the time for Liu Yang to travel to someplace else, she resigned from her job at the inn.

Her colleagues were kind enough to pack her some food for her to bring along for her travels.

Uncle Yü even promised her that he'd reserve a spot for her at the inn, if she were to ever return to CaiYi and was looking for a place to work.

Liu Yang thanked everyone graciously.

Liu Yang made her way to the other end of CaiYi city. She paused at a few stalls, stopping to buy candies and toys small enough that could fit in her bag.

Almost reaching the edge of the city, Liu Yang turned to look at the bustling place once last time. She smiled and stepped out of CaiYi, "Until next time then..."

Collective voices yelled for her, making her stop to look back at who called her. Lan JingYi and Wei WuXian were the first to reach her, since they bolted towards her. While Lan SiZhui and Lan WangJi arrived slower.

Liu Yang furrowed her brows. "I--what are you--?" Not letting her finish, they each present gifts to her. She was given a large, bulky bag filled with toys, and even more sweets for Jun Chen.

SiZhui handed her a small stack of parchment paper, tied with a string, and ink.  Liu Yang stuggled to carry everything. She looked at SiZhui's choice of present.

"It's to write us letters with." SiZhui explained. "JingYi and I hope you'll be able to find time to write to us about your adventures."

JingYi added on cheekily, "Yeah! And hey, you can write to Master Bing Wen too--"

Liu Yang cupped his mouth to stop him from saying anymore. She glared at him then looked at WangJi, "Make him copy the sect rules forty times for his trouble."

JingYi huffed in prptest and yanked the hand away from his mouth. "Wha--"

WangJi nodded, much to JingYi's chagrin. "Mn, will do."

"Thank you all for your gifts. I'll be leaving now." Liu Yang said and waved goodbye.

WuXian: "Bye Liu Yang!"
SiZhui: "Safe journey ahead."
JingYi: "Remember to write to us!"

Liu Yang laughed: "I will!"
